In my matches they have been. It only works on smaller maps otherwise it is useless.

The perks cover his weakness of not being able to know where the box is. It's only natural survivors would be peeved that pinhead can now do something about them.

I can't believe Hoarder has actually went from a gimmick perk to an ultra meta perk feared by the best of survivors.

Lol my Pinhead will never get Hoarder (Shows up all the time on my other killers) and by the time I do get it? Nerfed.

Yes I have a batch of killers that are P3 50 or right below and don't have it. There are also a few that I have never got it on even with running them through 4 times. Best your ass I have Monstrous shrine and Beast of prey on every killer though.

I spent a million bloodpoints and I still didn't get Franklin's or Hoarder. Not even barbecue showed up for pinhead.

i have never got BBQ on new killers on my first run through. Only Twins has ever got it and I think it was my 2nd run through with them. Trickster, Nemesis, Pinhead never get it. I did get it every run through on Blight though but I waited quite some time before I tampered with him.

People use a different perk because it starts doing something useful.

It’s because Hoarder on Pinhead essentially is a slowdown perk like all other meta perks. The playstyle when you run it is to keep chain hunts going as often as possible, which literally pulls survivors off objectives.
Survivors hate slowdowns so I don’t know why anyone is surprised that people would ######### about a niche perk that is made into a slowdown perk by one killer’s power. Like, don’t tell me killers wouldn’t be annoyed if the next survivor launched with a perk that turned an existing survivor meme perk into another second chance or exhaustion perk.

I personally don't think Hoarder on Pinhead is a problem, but people who complain about it do it because of the synergy, not the perk itself. It's the same reason people complained about Stridor Spirit or M&A Slinger and not about Stridor and M&A specifically.

I hated twins so much I avoided leveling them for the perks clogging my bloodwebs.
Ever since Pinhead though, I leveled the twins, got hoarder on pinhead and generally do well.
Last night I had a chainhunt for nearly half the match. No gens were finished. Over 110k bps from that 1 game. Hoarder is my favourite perk now, it is glorious!

Anything that helps killer triggers survivors. I've seen threads of people complaining about monstrous shrine for the entitys sake. The sad part is some of said threads don't sound like bait threads. The poster really thinks the perk is OP.

Unskilled players complain about Hoarder. The game gives no incentive to become better as survivor, so if anything is slightly inconvenient for them it's broken, and they expect wins to be handed to them on a silver platter. It's why Survivors have so much information in the first place.

I haven't played as Hoarder pinhead but going against is not as bad as people say. Once you find out he's running it either wait until he's in a chase with someone else or wait until he's far enough away from the box to pick up. Also if you go in a locker with the box no chains will spawn.

It's the interaction with his power, not the perk.
Nobody ever criticized hoarder before and it's not worth on other killers.

I'm not sure that's the most helpful way to phrase it but yes some people seem displeased with that perk on that killer. From what I've seen it looks potentially strong but I'd need to try it myself or at least play against it a lot to decide, so far it seems counterable enough imo.

Im not yet facing Cenobite with Franklin / Hoarder build. I cant really tell yet.

It's pretty funny TBH. On one hand they cry about Ruin+Undying+tinkerer, but everytime a killer is able to make use out of a perk that isn't stacking gen slowdown perks or using one of the other 5 good perks, all hell breaks lose. It's a shame that a killer can finally make use of an offmeta and generally terrible perk.

I don't really see what there is to get triggered about. An underused (arguably terrible) perk is finally seeing some use on a killer whose niche allows it to function at a mediocre level.
You wonder why there are maybe six perks killers are running at any given time.. :-/

To be fair, any minor inconvenience to the survivors and their rule book pisses them off. I actually got told off and called a trash player once because I ran Lightborn against a team who had 2 survivors running flashlights 😂

And even on Pinhead it's alright at best since at the end of the day Pinhead still has to be able to down you after picking up the box which given how inconsistent his power is can be very quick to forever.

Ngl it's not even that useful on Pinhead. You see the survivor that picks up the box. What are you going to do, drop your current chase to go after who picked up the box on the other side of the map? Besides most of the time survivors don't pick up the box until halfway through to a hunt anyways, to immediately solve it and ensure a hunt doesn't happen. Then all the perk did was give survivors 2 more chests.
Very little reward for a lot of risk.

I guarantee you the best survivors don’t genuinely care about Hoarder. It’s all the potato survivors on this forum that are complaining about a niche perk.
