Are event items more rare then ultra rare
I need to complete a challenge of escaping with an ultra rare item but i don't have any only a couple event items would escaping with them complete the challenge.

I think they're the equivalent of the common rarity, they have the same price and everything.

The item would have to actually be designated in-game as "ultra rare". A pink item that I think is 7,000 BP.

Run Plunderers. Worse case you don't find a Rainbow map or Key. Best case you gain a new item.

event items cost the same as common items (3000) but they are still considered rarer than ultra rare items

Do they actually function the same for completing specif challenges though? I've never heard of that.

Previous rift challenges the event items didn't count as an ultra rare.
I run plunderers when the ultra rare item challenges pop up, that way I'm less likely to get a killer running Franklin's or tunneling me out for bringing key/map.

i got the ultra rare item achievement yoinks ago when i brought in an event item to a trial , but from comments here i'm thinking they must've changed their coding on event item rarity or something

I guess ultimately the thing to do is just try it, if you have an event item you don't mind losing (should you get killed or have it smacked away from you). From the sounds of it it may have been possible at one point but no one's sure. My instinct would say that event items are coded differently to have different values as unique items and that if the game specifically requires something with a specific description then it will only accept that exact type of thing. Can't say with total certainty now though.

If you use ace in the hole, plunderer instinct and appraisal you should find a skeleton key or a rainbow map to escape with. Any others items will not count toward it.

You can run plunderer instinct and run with a skull key

I did it with Plunderer's, too, but I'd be curious to know if it works with event items when someone tries it out.
