What was the longest dbd match you played?😱

I just went to bed while they stayed up t-bagging in a spot I couldn't reach.
So, when I woke up and came downstairs, imagine my surprise when I started moving and they started dancing again.

46 minutes I think.
I was patrolling a three gen at the end and didn't want to stay in a chase for too long, lest one get finished.
It was pretty much a patrol, chase, hit, chase went on for too long, back to patrolling gens, the hurt survivor healed, repeat.
Till one went down. It was a very well matched game; though. Just that the three gen really was the final nail in the coffin for that group.
It was a fun game though, just took a while and got a tiny bit boring at the end.

30 min vs 3 gen doc

Maybe 1h? I was on swamp with 3 other team mates. The last 3 gens were in such a bad spot the killer camped them from early game.
They didn't even have to move to see all of them, just turn the camera a bit.
The killer refused to chase or hook anyone, but would get you off a gen. If you didn't struggle on their shoulder, they'd just drop and pick you up untill you freed yourself.
This was a solo q match, therefore my team didn't try any trick.
After about one hour, someone found a key and got out. The killer found the hatch and triggered EGC and I managed to get out.

He stopped playing DbD. I think that he stopped playing in it in 2017.
Don't remember the date when he quieted, sadly.

Usually. But sometimes the game liked to glitch and start you with 5 gens anyways.
No, so if the survivor and the killer both find hatch, it's a waiting party because if the killer hits you, you can jump in hatch without being grabbed. So it was either be grabbed and the killer wins, or get hit and the survivor wins. IT WAS MISERABLE, because nobody wants to back down

killer since I just DC;d but I consider it my victory since my tummy was full.

My longest DBD match happened years ago, and it lasted for over an hour. Back then, there used to be a glitch which the community called "Infinite Mending Legion". This video may help you understand:
Now, pair this with my team's stubbornness, slowdown perks, and a very weird gen-stalemate and you get GeneralV's longest DBD match.

It was back before the hatch spawned for last survivor regardless of gens. They were either extremely immersed or griefing. I basically searched the entire map multiple times before finally finding an urban evading Nea around a tree that I had to loop twice to see her. It took me 30 minutes to find her on Suffocation Pit. So the game probably lasted 40-50 minutes.
It wasn't uncommon for survivors to grief killers back then by hiding like that (although not usually as extreme) which is why I always felt vulnerable without Whispers. So glad the hatch mechanic is the way it is now, including EGC.

50 minutes, afk wraith, two megs thought it'd be fun to stand in front of the gates.
Other survivor found a key and we escaped, megs went afk so endgame got them

An hour and 12 minutes. Not a single gen worked on and they hid all round. A bunch of rank 20's. Though props to them for hiding so well. Eventually it ended when I finally found them and got a 4k

Forty five minutes. Was Nurse on old Lerrys. Final two survivors simply would not progress the match. It only ended when I flicked a blink in the wrong direction I was trying for, which luckily put me in sight of Jane getting into a locker. The Jake made hatch.
In post game chat, they went off on each other. Two solos that wouldn't give the other hatch.

Roughly 35-40 minutes.
Had a game on Midwich during the 4th Anniversary event vs. a Wraith. The game started off normally, but our gen progress was slow because the map was new at the time and Wraith can easily patrol the gens on that map due to how tiny it is. Despite this, we held our own in loops and managed to get down to 2 gens remaining after 15 minutes. Though we lost 2 survivors so it was just me and Dwight remaining.
I walked slowly everywhere, especially when my Spine Chill activated. Eventually, I ended up on the middle gen outside and worked on it until my spine chill activated. Each time it did, I hid in the bush nearby and watched Wraith run around the walls and check the lockers for a good minute before leaving. Once I knew the coast was clear, I worked on the gen again. But 30 seconds later, he came back so I hid in the same bush before he could see me. He patrolled the exact route and almost ran into me before getting frustrated and leaving again. I waited for a while in case he came back before leaving the area entirely.
I walked around the map, looking for a key and Dwight and generally learning the layout of Midwich before hearing continuous Wraith Bells. Following the sounds, I went up the stairs and saw the Wraith bodyblocking the Dwight in a corner. Dwight had 3 crows on his head and was actively moving. Wraith turns around to look at me, before moving away to allow the Dwight to be free.
Wraith then turns invisible and stands still. Dwight and I looked at each other before we offered our items to Wraith and ran to a nearby gen. Once we completed that gen, Wraith uncloaked and stared at us as we ran towards the final gen and completed it. Once that was done, Wraith opened the door and we left.
No endgame chat because this was on Switch and it was before crossplay

Around 45 minutes. I just kept slugging a survivor picking them up, hitting the gen to see how long it would take him to get the message. I usually let survivors go if someone disconnects. In this case, someone also killed themselves on hook.
After like 10 minutes, I was pretty frustrated that they weren't doing gens. But it gave me the urge to see just how long it would take to get those inept freaks to do the gens.

40 mins on Gideon, the last 2 survivors stopped doing ANYTHING and hid in lockers. it took me so long to find them coz they kept moving lockers. I think they may have been new because after I FINALLY found them I killed one then took pity on the other and tried to give him hatch, but when I dropped him on hatch he didn't seem to understand that he could use it to escape? After a few minutes of the survivor crawling away from the open hatch every time I dropped him on it I got angry and closed it and killed him because the match had already gone for so long, my patience had worn thin. Which is very unusual for me in this game >:(

To be honest if they hid for 40 minutes I doubt they're that new. If you constantly keep entering and leaving a locker it prolongs the crows as if you're performing an action. I think you can stay in one spot for 5-10 minutes before crows start to hover around you. Someone could test this but honestly it's stupidly unreasonable if you're trying to not participate in a game. How do I know this? Did it with friends once without realizing how long it would take until we got crows. The only give away here is if the killer hears you opening or shutting a locker which is unlikely if you really are trying to just hide.
Really though if they evade you for 40 minutes they know the mechanics enough to know how to not get AFK crows.

Matches like these (and pretty much all of them in this post)prove either whispers needs to be basekit or survivors need to have crow notification after the match isn't progressed after a certain point.
There is surely enough data to support this need.🙂

At least you showed mercy...if you waste my time like that you are getting hooked (and I will stay there and spam my killers ability for extra points if possible)🤣
0 -
What killer were you playing?😃
1 -
That was playing as Pig on Dead Dawg Saloon.

Over 10 hours. Old hatch stand off. Went to work, had drinks after, came back home and the game was still going. I guess the other guy did the same as me
1 -
Mine was a 45 minute match as Ghost Face on old Ormond. I'm not entirely sure how the match lasted that long because my ping was extremely bad and I was teleporting every half a second to some place I hadn't been for like a minute.
0 -
The energy wasted🤣...so who won in the end?
0 -
I think an hour an 20 minutes. I got a stupid 3 gen on swamp and some VERY stubborn survivors.

30 to 40 minutes long match, pre speed buff Wraith on old coldwind. Survivors decided i didnt deserve to kill them amd just hid. No gens done, 2 survivors. They didnt even get crows.
0 -
How many survivors left? How did the game end?🙂
0 -
How did your game end?🙂
0 -
3k. I just gave up and let them do the gens then got 2 of them in tier 3 during the endgame.
0 -
At least you got those 2🙂
0 -
Yeah but it was in my like first week of playing. Had I been in a game like that recently I am taking my 5 min penalty and getting the ######### outta there haha
0 -
Yeah unfortunately it is still a thing where 2 survivors or even 3 really can just not do objectives and force the game to drag on without reprecussions...should be no objective done in a 10 minute limit survivors get instant crows or force end game collapse to happen.

I never clock my games but every game vs Legion feels like the longest.
0 -
Only if you heal if you power through gens you should be ok😎 split up and gen rush not much legion can do

I had two half an hour games. They were brutal -3-
First one was when I was playing Legion on Mother's Dwelling. I managed to get rid of two survivors which left a Claudette and a Meg. They were being extremely sneaky so it took me forever to find them. I wasn't going to DC though but I didn't manage to sacrifice both of them at the end.
The second was Huntress on Gideon Meat Plant. Again same situation, I sacrifice two survivors while the other two survivors were hiding. Managed to find one and hook them which allowed the hatch to open but I found the hatch before the Steve could.
I think my soul was literally dying both those times.

I was once in a hatch standoff for an hour and a half 😥
0 -
Yeah standoffs in this game are ridiculous in 2021...the egc needs to be configured in these situations or else you wait to long/DC and take the penalty🤣
1 -
Geez🙁 how did it end?🙂
0 -
Absolutely ridiculous. I wish they worked on gens or something for both those games! I think these survivors were just wanting me to DC but I didn't want to give up on points. Do like a notification thing on survivors if they're not doing anything for awhile (ex. not working on gens, totems etc)
0 -
Yeah I am surprised it hasn't been implemented...you dont progress the game after 10 minutes (just hiding) you get crows.
1 -
Thankfully just a dickhead Doctor that kept slugging us over and over until we all bled out. His build was designed around it, which I will admit was clever.
0 -
Exactly and especially weed out the survivors that are hiding in the corner while their teammates do all the work.
0 -
i guess the survivor couldn't take it anymore and they didn't care if they lost because because they jumped and of course i grabbed them and won. im glad they did that because i was about to let them win. thank god they added end game collapse
1 -
What was his build🤣
0 -
I can't remember, but it was designed to track us anytime we did anything, so we'd be up for a second and down again. It was a terrible match, but again, you have to hand it to him for being designed to do that rather than running all meta and doing it out of desperation lol
0 -
So it was a slugfest...that sucks🙁
1 -
Yeah, but it only happened once. And it was when I was playing with a friend so that made it less ######### lol
0 -
At least you can laugh it off🤣 hope you dont face that doc again
1 -
45 mins with a demo on dead dog. I was a survivor and the demo wouldn't commit to leaving his three gen to engage in chase. Two of my teammates were incredibly immersed and kept tearing up his portals only to have them replaced . And we couldn't find ruin. I made it my business to learn every totem spawn on that map after that game.

before the endgame collapse. 1h and 20min. I Play doc and has a God 3 Gen. then kill 3 and wait With the last 30 min on a hatch..... I Grab him IT was a fun Match.

No one. There are no winners in a situation like this. That said it seems I came home first and the other person was still afk when I ended it
