Would you run BBQ & Chilli if one of its effects were removed?

Which version of BBQ & Chilli would you run?

  1. A version that only gives you 25% extra blood points every time you a hook a survivor for the first time.
  2. A version that only shows you the auras of survivors if they are further than 40m from a hook.

Should the perk lose one of the two abilities, it would not be worth using. Since both abilities individually are simply too weak. The combination makes the perk an anti Facecamp perk. Hook someone new brings you points and even your next goal that is so far away that you also go away from the hook

I can tell you exactly what i would do, bc after i had all perks on all killer and for one survivor, i didnt need bloodpoints anymore.

I removed bbq from almost every build. Thrilling is just more reliable. I only use BBQ on Billy and Blight, bc it has synergy with their power and if i would try to sweat, i would remove it. But thats bc info perks are worse than gen regression, bbq is still a good perk on some killer.

A perk with only 2×bloodpoints i wouldnt use if it would mean i lose most of the time. But players, who start with the game, dont really have a choice if they want perks.

im not running it on a majority of my killers.

the only ones i do run it on (outside of BP events ofc) are ones with high map pressure, such as Hillbilly, who can make a good usage of the aura reading effect.

so IF that were to happen, probaply the aura reading one - on very specific characters.

though i would like to add that i think splitting its effects in two is not a good idea in the slightest. the perk is absolutely fune the way it is right now.

I am starting to believe bbq isn't worth running as is now.

Sure double bp and grind is terrible. But the other effects aren't that impactfull.

If any killer is struggling then i would suggest leaving bbq off.

You are kinda handicapping yourself in trade of double bp and sometimes it's just not worth it

I wouldn't run it if it was just the auras, there are better tracking perks out there.

If it was just the extra bp I would still use it.

Since it is supposed to be an anti camp perk why on earth would it need to be changed? If I see an aura on a gen and I don't think anyone else is around, I am heading towards that gen.

The perk that needs a rework is the survivor version of this. 20% per gen completed rather than 25% for safe unhooks. If the killer only has to do their objectives, why can't the survivor instead of having to compete with 3 others for the unhook.

I would still run the bp one but become more "territorial" like the twitch streamers do that don't use it.

I'd run it for the BP boost even if it made me 5% slower and prevented me from using any other perks.

    The grind can suck it.

I'm just asking for opinions lol, I don't think BBQ should be nerfed. It's hypothetical.

No - and I wouldn't run We're Gonna Live Forever if one of it's effects were removed either... they are both two weak without both effects.

I only use it for the bloodpoints but I wouldn't use it either if the Aura read was removed. It's the same reason I don't run WGLF. Wasting a slot for just money is just a pass for me.

Purely as aura read? There's better perks out there.

I never used them. Other perks give way better informations.

    Discorde, Surveillance, Tinkerer.

I wouldn´t run BBQ at all. Since removing 1 thing, would make the other redundant. BBQ works perfectly fine the way it is right now.

No. The tracking is mediocre at best and it's not worth being a perk on its own, and a BP perk without any effect would be dumb (like old WGLF was).

I'd probably drop B&C in both cases.

    • I like BP but i don't need it and i'd rather have a Perk that actually does something in the Trial.
    • But if it's just the Auras then i think i'd rather have Thrilling Tremors: After hooking someone i usually wanna go for repairing Survivors.
    • Funny enough Gearhead would also be a solid option for me since i don't really stop chasing a Survivor once i found one and 2 Basic Attacks is the only way i ever down them anyway.

If you remove the stacks then I would 100% run stronger perks instead of a balanced and healthy perk like bbq.

If you remove the auras then I would honestly run stronger perks on huntress, spirit, billy, nurse which will make people hate those killers even more.

No. The bloodpoints are the primary reason I pick it over Thrilling Tremors or Nurse's Calling. If it didn't give tracking info, it would be a meme perk, like the meme add-ons, it would be making you worse (by depriving you a perk slit) for the sake of additional bloodpoints.

I already just use it as though it only had the aura-reading effect. Not my favorite perk, but I'd still run it. While I think Thrilling Tremors technically has a stronger tracking effect, I think the cooldown on it makes it significantly less appealing to me.
