Haven't had a new original map since March 2020

Honestly, I'm pretty sad about this... I really wish we would get a new map that is NOT INDOORS and original! I do enjoy Midwich and even enjoyed it when it first came out, but it really sucks that it's been a year and a half with no new original map. When can we expect a new original map? Hopefully by 2025?

    I hope they give us 4 original maps in the next year. All the maps feel the same and it's gotten boring. My favorite map at the moment is Ormond, only because I rarely see it and because it's so different from the other maps. Being easy on the eyes helps too! Unfortunately, it seems like new maps break the game so I don't really have much hope.

    I know, it does seem like most of the maps are unbalanced that come with licenses. Lampkin Lane, RACCOON CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT (ugh), Hawkins... even Midwich is more Survivor-sided but at least I still enjoy playing that map even as Killer. I do enjoy Badham as both sides though.

    Exactly! Four seems like a good amount since we've gone for ages without a new one. And I do enjoy Ormond but I don't see it... ever!

    And it's so weird that Dead Dawg is suddenly breaking apart... it was fine for quite some time, then I come back a couple months ago and it's all over the news. Hopefully they're a little less ambitious with their next maps and we can get some solid additions to the roster.

    That's probably due to them changing existing maps... but who really knows

    And with Dead Dog being out of rotation... that cause me to be worried about more maps overall

    I wouldn't worry that much about it.

    In my opinion, the last good map to come out was the original Family Residence, and even that can be debatable.

    A big issue is the poor implementation of the reworked totem spawns, which has consistently resulted in unbreakable totems. Along with the general issues with geometry this game has, I'd like them to fix their design process before they add more maps - we'd have more variety, but if the last few map releases are examples they've got some behind the scenes (likely staffing) problems they need to clean up.

    I can't say for sure about it being an indoor map, but the devs said in the anniversary stream we were getting 2 maps this year and they've also said in the past that they want their dlcs to be roughly half and half with no more than 2 licenses in a dbd year. That's Resident Evil and Hellraiser. So the next map to come into the game should be original given this information.

    I'd rather they finish the Realm Beyond with Haddonfield, Swamp, and Red Forest before making any new maps.

    Oh my god... it's been that long? Oh wow. Hopefully a map will come with the new survivor in the midchapter??

    I don't get why they don't add more maps to existing realms. I reaaaaaaally want more Grave of Glenvale maps (Dead Dawg).

    Worst aspect of the game by far for me personally. Don't hate any perks and yeah the bugs are annoying, but lack of maps is really hurting. I cant see why they cant make new variants of existing realms, half the work is already done......

    Cosmetics make money, maps don’t.

    We probably are not gonna get another liscensed chapter before june 2022, and they said there's 1 more map in year 6 so we are probably getting an original.

    They said two maps this year. So I guarantee the next chapter will have a map, hopefully original . Hopefully outdoors or atleast mostly outdoors.

    I think they mean two maps this dbd year, so june 2021 - june 2022. If you look on the dbd website year 6 started with resident evil.
