It’s time to let us opt out of playing against Spirits

Again a perk isn’t a solid counter to a killer. I shouldn’t need to run a perk just to have a chance of beating them. That’s just terrible design.
For example I don’t need any perks to counter a billy in a chase. All I need is my own mechanics and knowledge on his power. He gives feedback and you can react accordingly to counter him. Spirit gives no feedback so I have no way to react. She is the only chase based killer to not have feedback which is a huge issue
What other killer literally relys on a perk to counter them?

Tit for tat. I, as a killer player, shouldn’t be forced to run gen regression perks to have a chance with lower tier killers (or even higher tier killers at times, depending on map/RNG).
Don’t be proud, use the tools you have if Spirit bothers you so much.

And I agree you shouldn’t need gen regression. Base regression is stupid and needs a buff. In the same way certain perks shouldn’t be needed to counter certain killers

I think I’ve said this already, but all she needs is a SMALL indication (like a subtle animation) of when she starts phasing, and maybe make her footsteps a little louder when phasing.
As for her power values, they do not need any more nerfs.

I think the indicator would be better if it was when she phased not the start of the charge because then you could still fake it and stand still.
I just want to point out that if a killer has a grantee counter evertime they are bottom tier name one top killer that has 100% counter when using there power. I think people forgot that the killer should have the advantage when using there power.

I agree with it being at the start of the phase, not the charge.
And your second paragraph is 100% correct - killers should NOT have a guaranteed counter to all aspects of their power. Killers are supposed to be the POWER ROLE. But many survivor players think it’s ok for it to be normal running a killer for 5 gens lol.

People forget that in a 1v1 situation thr killer should win eventually. Your right people want to be able to run a killer for 3-5 gens and thats all bad for the "power role"
2 -
What did I say? Lol

Looks like we win :) spirit nerf incoming yay
1 -
Yes,Baby survivors always win.
6 -
And killers relying on an easy killer, old Freddy, spirit lose. If they’d put a shred of effort into a killer that takes skill that won’t be changed, they wouldn’t have this issue, but they couldn’t possibly do that. They’re all switching from spirit to cannibal/wraith now since they are the only killers they can play.

What you have written there is simply not true and is partly a lie. Because the Spirit gets a bit more counterplay doesn't mean it's dead. What's the next thing you're going to complain about? I bet the add ons....
1 -
The add ons are being nerfed x we won

"We won"
Good spirits will still probably be just as powerful tho. The nerfs don't kill her, as much as some people seem to think they do, at least as far as I can tell. Spirit still controls the chase.
3 -
Do you call anyone a baby survivor who doesn't like certain killers?
Lmao many people have been complaining about the Spirit, including killer mains. And believe it or not but the devs can't only cater towards killer players.
1 -
I mean, Spirit didn´t had a high kill rate. She was below Pig and Bubba. So enjoy encountering more Bubbas!
3 -
God I hope BHVR learned their lesson and never show stats again, this community can't handle it.
It's been over a year since these stats were released. Four killers have been released, with a bunch of buffs and nerfs alongside. The stats are outdated, and they don't matter anymore.
1 -
Neither Spirit nor Bubba have been changed since the release of those stats. So they are still representative on their relative strength.

'We win'
The comment from a child who really needs to grow up..
2 -
Strength, sure. But pickrates, we have no idea.
People that play Spirit could have gone to Wraith when he got buffed, maybe the people who play Bubba went to Trickster or Nemesis.
This was at a time where Blight was bugged to all hell, so he wasn't played nearly as much as he is today. It's entirely feasible that Spirit mains went to Blight after his changes. Not to mention the matchmaking changes.
Nothing changes the fact the stats are incredibly old as far it goes to this game. The HUD hadn't changed yet, the Realm Beyond had just started, Pallet Validation wasn't a thing.

Nothing you stated had any impact on Spirit or Bubba.
Sure, the stats are old af. But its everything we have. Because lets face it, OPs experience with Spirit is subjective and skill based.
My experience when playing against Spirit is very different and yours probably too. So some sort of baseline where we agree on is a must.

The main issue is the idea that the pickrates stayed anywhere similar is a gigantic assumption. Which, to be fair, my statement is too.
I don't think everybody will ever agree on Spirit. There are already people saying her nerf isn't enough, it's too much. Everything in between.

Right now its a wild guess. Since we´ve only seen 2 of her addons and how her phasing changes. Ultimately we will only know for sure, once the changes hit the live servers. Because even the PTB version can change last minute.

In my new MMR survivor games, I mostly meet Blight and Nurse. Spirit is already now an endangered species. And even in these rarely games, she most often loses in my matches.
People like you and devs don't understand a simple thing. The more you nerf one side, the worse other will play. So, wait for more complaints on the forums about camping and tunneling killers. That only facecamping Bubba, Blight and Nurse meet in matches and need to be nerfed. And that search for a match for survivors is taking too long.
I play 50/50 on both sides. My mains on killers are 3 characters. Clown, Plague and Spirit. But I stopped playing Spirit a one-two years ago, when the moans of survivors began to disappear due to a bug. I also played a series of games (at least 100 and more) on every killer except the last four (except Nemesis). I started out as a "fairplay killer" in 2018. After all this s**t, I no longer think I should be doing this. I see that if survivors can play well - balance of this game has a huge advantage on their side, apart from 1-2 meta-killers. And Devs are making EVEN MORE casual and no brain gameplay for survivors. I just no longer have the desire to be a clown for survivors and entertain them.
And I think a lot of killer players will be just choke 1 or 2 survivors, ignore others and the rest will entertain themselves by pinching m1 on gens and complain that killers are play "too boring." Well, if you want this kind of gameplay, all will come to it.
You don't play on killers seriously, right?

Kill rates are irrelevant, we need red rank kill rates, or high MMR.
0 -
Thanks, but I’m an adult who has probably overcome more than most people could handle.
0 -
I do, but less than I used to as they’re either dreadfully dull and easy, or awful to control on console.
0 -
Those are the red rank kill rates.
0 -
He just baby survivors, don't embarrassed him.
0 -
Are you a console player? They're usually not good at killers. It turns out as I thought.
