Give it time

Everyone complaining about how the mmr isn't working and that they are still matching with people better/worse than them too often need to realise that it's only been out for a week, it will be chaos you probably won't start getting consistent games until at least a months time, and even then there will still be old players who rarely play who are in those lower mmr levels that you may come across (if your mmr is low - average).

Just give it time, take some L's and get some W's and try to have faith that it will even out in time.

Hopefully the devs do announce how the mmr scores players though I feel that's important information for us as players to know.

We did not start at the same mmr. They have been collecting data precisely so they didn't have to do that. I still more or less agree, if it is still super lopsided by a month, it probably isn't going to tighten up much more.

The one thing you're wrong about is everyone starting the same.

The devs have gone on-record to say that MMR was doing work in the background MONTHS before going live.

Everything else, though, I agree with, at least partially.

Oh okay I wasn't too sure thanks for clearing that up. Yeah that's what I reckon but hopefully it does seem to give out more consistent matches in a month

Yeah I don't know why I thought that, thanks for letting me know

Although it's not fully working as intended right now hopefully consistent data bhvr gets helps with smoothing it out soon.

By soon, I mean a year or two :p

Matchamking doesn't work, and will never work because people play with friends, and they rarely are the same rank. The only thing that the new matchmaking did was ######### server pick while waiting for a match. Now i only get 180 ping servers, when it was 48 ping before.

Worse update so far, as killer i have to deal with forced 180 server ping, pallet validations and DH hit validation (yes it also exist).

Yeah I do wonder how it works finding matches with friends, from my own time playing with a mate it has seemed for the most part we have played killers either at my level or his never inbetween. For me I think it's to early to say it isn't working though, but then again I'm not getting that ping issue that you have received.

Yeah I think he brings up alot of good points, It does feel like it's pointless to try too hard now as there isn't anything to show from it. I watched his other video regarding an incentive for having high MMR like skins or charms (even though charms aren't good) that definitely would make it worth wanting to be good

Just because it might work properly in the future doesn't excuse how much of a failure mmr is currently.

Same how just because they eventually fixed console performance doesn't mean it's just ok it was broken in the first place.

How much time do we need to give this company to not only fix MMR, but every other pressing issue that's been in this game for years? Patience has run out, and now people are snippy and more toxic than ever. BVHR has contributed to this by allowing the game to stagnate and degrade over time with each patch.

People are paying money, so they're expecting results. That's not unreasonable - a return on investment, if you will.

Apparently SBMM thinks I'm a godly killer. To the point where I've had to turn off crossplay. Because most of my matches since it's been turned on has been against TTV SWFs.

I play on console, and am a very mediocre killer. Heck half my killers are level 40 with only 5 tier 3 perks, and the other half are still level one. I barely have working builds lol.

I actually had a conversation with one of the TTVs after the match was finished about these issues. I've been playing quite a bit since it released because I wanted it to level me out to where I should be, but I don't feel it's even close to being right. I'm okay with only 2 kills, or 1 kill and 7 hooks.

But most of my matches are survivors doing 5 gens in 3 minutes and then escaping, with me getting maybe 3 hooks, because I'm not playing sweaty or camping or anything.

I feel they should raise the cap maximum, by a lot, and reduce the amount that one Killers MMR affects your other killers. It should still affect it, but not as much as it does right now. Playing against TTVs on my main is one thing, but switching to a brand new killer with no experience on them and facing the same teams sucks.

And then implement bonuses for playing Killer/survivor when one queue is super long. I play survivor during the day because it's super easy to find a match, and vice versa at night. Just add like a bonus to BP or XP or something to make people want to play those other roles at that time.

We still need those significant balance changes. If we don't get them, then this excellent matchmaking is going to waste.

They're apparnetly had data on this for half a year now but couldn't forsee that SBMM data gotten while using RBMM would lead to this flop
