The Que Times are Back
Well after the event changes the problem was fixed for about a day. Now the que's for me at rank 1 are even longer than they were before the changes. I'm at 40min and still waiting.
After the survivors finish their vials they can't harvest plants anymore for the bonus blood points however killers can still use the event hooks for bonus blood points. This is the reason you have the killer que's long again. It should have been fixed with the other changes.

There's a very high chance it is caused by the event though. The best strategy to get the vials as survivor was to fill a vial and then suicide to get into the next game faster. This way it's very likely you depip which causes a massive lack of survivors at high ranks.

This is absolutely true. If the killer was not a farmer, the survivor just sacrificed on hook and moved on to the next game. Therefore, lots of survivors at 10-15, few at 1-5. Many of us called this out in the first day or so, but a lot of killers, especially mains, just thought they were so good that they were suddenly getting 4k's every game. Me, I backed off, farmed a bit, got my vials, let them run off and escape. Even worked to de-pip some. Never suffered the wait times everyone complained about. My worst were around 10 minutes at rank 10, but fell to 5 minutes or so at rank 14.

Was too late by the time the change occurred. Most survivors had already lost lots of ranks. So, any rank below 10 as killer meant long wait times. (Several of us tried to warn killers, but we were mocked and laughed at...) Hopefully, that will even out soon. My concern is that many survivor mains got hooked on playing killer due to the BP and ease of grind during the event. Ranks 13-17 were not that bad a wait time, therefore many may have figured out it is much more fun as killer, and much easier to grind bp. That would be bad for wait times.

All survivors are still at rank 15, give them some time to rank up.
Btw, I still dont understand how the event passed the QA team
