Is the new matchmaking working at this moment?
After introduction of the new matchmaking system, I got the feeling that there is no matchmaking at all, and now everyone is thrown into one heap. I used to play as a rank 1 killer and a rank 8-10 survivor, I play bad on survivors. Now, when playing as a killer, I no longer come across strong players, as it was before, in almost every match I win quickly and easily, unless I specifically let the survivors escape. And vice versa, it became very difficult to play as survivor, killers destroys the whole team in the first minutes. I have been playing this game for many years and I know what players of different ranks can do, and now there is a strong feeling that survivors who used to be at ranks 15-20 plays with by killers who used to be at ranks 1-5. Survivors in my matches can't hit skill checks, can't run away, while player on the huntress consistently hits with an ax across the entire map, player on the nurse does not miss after a double jump over several floors, and so on. It's not that the killers are too strong, it's just that the game purposefully throws more experienced killer players to the new survivors. Did you have that feeling?

It's hard to say exactly how it's working because I don't know what my MMR is or the MMR of those that I verse. And everyone's in that same boat. BHVR can see how it's working I guess.

We'd have to define "working" at first.

You said you are winning quickly and easily as killer, sometimes that means you win with just a few hooks and a Brutal Killer rating. Go for as many hooks as possible, aiming for a Merciless rating each game and see how your opponents improve.

I feel it takes a long time to adjust as well as survivor being harder to actually gain MMR. We know full well Escaping is a big part of gaining mmr, I often dont escape or get left behind even when doing most gens and chases...
I'm liking mmr though, its nice to have chiller matches as a killer I dont play often
