Now that I’ve gotten a chance to settle a bit…
I am overall happy with Spirit getting the change. I can actually play my favorite killer without people shaming me and also not feeling guilty anymore. Also the DC rate will be much less so that’s a plus. I am not leaving her even if I did think the nerf was too much. She’s been my killer since the beginning so I will be a proud Rin main for life.
I want to point out that I really love the new Wakazashi Saya. Spirit will have so much mind game potential with this add on and it could change up the gameplay a bit. I’ll certainly be testing this out on the PTB. I actually had an idea months ago where something like this add on should be put into her base power.
The one thing that I’m not happy about with this change though is how they never addressed Iron Will. I have said it once and I will say it again, but Iron Will users will be way too hard to catch. Iron Will users really shouldn’t have an excuse against her ever as they can hear and see where she is (depends how the Spirit kicking the dust mechanic will work) and she won’t be able to see or hear them. Just please nerf Iron Will and this will all be fair.
Also, will people still be quick to say that Spirit takes 0 skill and she’s OP? I really hope not.

She's very strong with little effort. I'm not against that normally, but a few things feel a bit over looked. Overall I'm happy for the changes, plus it's not even official yet, no one knows if this will truly be a disaster for her

I’m really hoping it didn’t kill her. I would be very sad if she was.

Its probably going to be a disaster she give more info to the survivor compare to what she get

My ears aren't that good, so you'd probably see more Spirits just equipping brutal strength and mow people down like I always do with her.
I had no issues since, maybe it'll be different with the visual effects, but oh well.
Plus we now have a transformative Spirit that will change how a lot of players play

If this really is a decent nerf to Spirit, I wouldn’t be opposed to them also nerfing Iron Will. I know some people would oppose it but it’s always seemed kind of a bullshit perk to me, but because it was the only “counterplay” to Spirit I thought it should stay as it was. Now that IW negates Stridor and Spirit is seeing a significant change, it could stand to be tuned down tbh.

This nerf is entirely designed to kill her high-level gameplay.
Her normal gameplay against casual players is unlikely to change, since most players aren't going to look for dust or listen to the directional phasing.
However, high-level players will pay attention and they will hear the phasing.

Iron Will needed a nerf anyway, it just was the only counter to Spirit so they had to keep it that way because of that.

It probably won't be. No other state was mentioned to be changed.

I like the insidious perk on her, when I phase I stop until it activates then unphase with no TR, wonder if insidious will silence the phasing sound

Maybe the devs are nerfing her to alleviate your 40 minute Blight queue times? /s
Seriously though, she's dead for high mmr with this. The sound bug she had a few months ago where you could hear her phasing was less consistent and she was still incredibly easy to loop by just hugging a window/pallet and waiting for the audio queue that she was phasing around the loop. Now it sounds like she'll give constant audio feedback AND visual feedback to survivors. Very skillful!
This also eliminates what imo is her most fun playstyle to play and vs; switching targets within terror radius and going for grabs on gens. That playstyle is absolutely gone now. She's just a bad 1v1 killer with 110% movement speed. I guess Trickster will have some company in that department.
"Counterplay" for survivors, means "consistent counterplay", meaning the killer has no counterplay and can only hope survivors mess up.

When she phase the survivor will know the direction you are going and they will see cloud of dust where you walk. Her herself is the same but survivor have more info on what you do compare to you knowing what they do. That mean i can pallet stun spirit more often and i can jump a window without guessing what you do because i have all the info i need but the spirit will need to guess if the survivor is healthy or have iron will. Lets be honest we know what they do with addon they rarely make good nerf to them and when they buff them its so minimal compare to the drawback they put. Its not all bad i like the addon that make her go back to the husk i think this addon is really cool if its powerfull this will depend on the survivor you have but its a cool addon

That's fine. I get why you're concerned, but I think it's fine. It allows her to be more customizable which would be a much more welcoming playstyle compared to her OG form, it's so boring and very power trippy.
I'm glad a more adaptive and customizable Spirit is coming

Im pretty sure people will still hate spirit. People think trickster takes no skill...

Of course they will. Will we ever please people that main one side?

So basically, the most pointless nerf imaginable. The nerf might still leave bad survivors with miserable matches while high level looses variety. A very BHVR Nerf if you're right.

I fully expect her to get Billyed:
Double nerfed(Both base kit and add-ons being nerfed into the ground). Aka completely gutted
Then the gutting humiliating the developers like what happened with Billy.
Then they will refuse to ever acknowledge that they screwed up just like with Billy.
Finally they'd wonder why no one trusts them...Again.

I disagree with the second one, when i first played against spirit i expected it to work with directional phasing. I got so frustrated when it didn't work like that.

It doesn't look that good to me, but I trust your judgement. If you are happy with the changes, then they must be good.

I’ll certainly test her out a lot on the PTB to see how she feels.

Make sure to tell me the results!

I’ll definitely let everyone know how it feels and try to give necessary PTB feedback.
