So it looks like we are getting some kind of halloween/witch themed survivor with this mid chapter, likely with new boon totem perks.
What are your thoughts?

If it's an OG character, which I think it will be, I'd expect a witch, I'd also really love if their cosmetics were gothy.
If it's licensed, I'd love if it was Elvira.

I don't care either way, all I know is if Claudette doesn't get an awesome Victorian witch cosmetic with a pointy hat and broom, I will be very angry.

But purple instead of red and have the black part of the dress be knee short in order to reveal stripped knee high socks and curled toe shoes.

Other people have posted this already but the caption in the tweet and in the youtube description are from the Shakespeare play Macbeth and those captions are quotes from the Three Witches, so it's most likely a witch or a sorcerer.

Isn't Hag technically a witch? Uses magic for her power, and in some languages like German her name is literally translated as Witch

I wrote like 3 essays a day on it, watched movies, I'd rehearse Lady Macbeth's lines and I spent an hour working on my own quiz that the school had made for us.

also there is no other translation for Hag in German. I don’t even know what’s the difference between a Hag and a Witch per se as my language does not have a difference..

Then there's also the theory for Haddie Kaur, the girl in all the rifts. I hope its her because more diversity would be great, though a Lisa Sherwood would be good too. Now we need Survivor skins for Rin Yamaoka, Phillip Ojomo and Talbot Grimes.

It's a cool idea and theme if true, but I can't help but feel disappointed that it's looking like we're getting yet another female Survivor.
Out of the last six (soon to be seven) non-licensed Survivors, only one was male (Felix). Before him was Jeff, released almost three years ago now, and we all know how poorly Jeff (and Adam!) is treated cosmetic wise.
Oh well. Maybe next time.

I could be wrong but in English Witch is a common term for female magic users, though they are usually focusing on potions and nature-based magic. Hags are more creature-like and associated with dark magic, also used as an insult for older women.

I don't even play either of them, but I still can sense the anguish Jeff and Adam mains (all nine or so of them) feel when yet another cosmetic theme is announced for Nea, Feng, David, Dwight and/or Kate.
Stuck in a perpetual cycle of no one playing Jeff and Adam because they don't have good cosmetics, and BHVR not giving them good cosmetics because no one plays them.

I'm gonna guess that this is Haddie Kaur,I imagined she would've came with a Vampire killer but this works.

The teaser looks like curtains being pulled back and the sound of clapping, like someone is heading on stage for a performance. Also her breathing sounds like she is getting herself ready for whatever is about to happen.
My guess for now is she is a witch/magician that posses some real magic (which would tie in with boon totems). Most likely she is a performer but she could also be a real witch about to be burned at the stake.
Either way we know the new survivor is:
- a girl (le surprise).
- she has boon totems.
- most likely a witch/ magic user.
I also want to say that I love the idea that she could be Lisa in an alt life or maybe even a relative to her! Who knows, maybe her 3 perks are Boons and they are the opposite to Lisa's owo

Well, witches are bad in plenty of literary fiction, yes, but they're also good in others.
For example, in Harry Potter, I believe the students are referred to as witches and wizards. Witch is just kind of a generic term for 'female magic user' in a lot of media.

Maybe she is both and actress and witch? Or maybe she comes from a long line of witches but doesn't know of her past? Or maybe she is simply playing the part of a witch in a play?

It could easily be both. An actress that just happens to be a witch (I say this because the voice sounds distinctly feminine, but I could be wrong.) There are actually a lot of things that kind of point towards this direction. One of the teasers recites a quote from Macbeth, a Shakespearean play. +1 To an actor/actress. The line is also said by a Witch, so +1 to Witch.

Now im thinking it's an actress who happens to be playing a witch in her last moments before they are taken by the entity. Perhaps some sort of tragedy happens on the night of the play, from the teaser?
Also i definitely think the teases on instagram are from this new characters perspective.

It very well could be.
Who knows, maybe we're getting another surprise two survivors. Though if the rumours are to be true, probably not. Either way, we'll find out soon!
