Is uncapping framerate bannable?
I want to uncap the framerate but is it even allowed? Running 60 for when I know I can handle far more is a pain

Editing game files isn't encouraged by the Devs but many, many players have uncapped their FPS (or capped it to 120) over the years and I have yet to hear a single person being banned for it. There even used to be a mod a few years ago telling players how to do it on the steam forum.
Me and my friend group have played since 2016 and have had our FPS uncapped since at least 2017 with no problems whatsoever. Hope this helps.

If you have to ask its better to never try. Its one of those grey areas that they have said they wont fix if your banned for it as it can be abused and just because some players havent been banned yet doesnt mean it wont happen in the future. If you like the game just dont risk it.

The Devs themselves cap FPS to 120. Editting the ini files to increase FPS to 120 won't get you banned.
You should only do this if your monitor supports it.
