How do you counter gen rush tactics?

While the game just started, 3 out of 5 gens within less than 30 seconds are fully repaired and the next gen will be repaired extremely fast.

I have literally 0 opportunity to hook or kill the survivor unless I managed to down someone and even then, I have no choice but to facecamp.

So, when will this be addressed, devs? Where is the enjoyment if survivors start to finish the game within less than 2 minutes and start to trash bagging at the exit gate completely ignoring the countdown timer prolonging the match even further. They couldn't care less if they waste their time they just want to piss off as many killers as possible.

    Who do u play?

    What perks u bring?

    How much u play?

How long it takes u get a down? ( At least on your personal feelings)

It's impossible for 3 gens to pop in the first 30 seconds.

With that said, even if you lose 3 gens early, the game isn't lost. It is pretty dependent on the killer you play on how exactly to combat gen rush though. Spreading damage whenever possible is important, but against good loopers you'll have to be on point, not using a weak killer and not be on one of the very survivor sided maps.

Killers like Blight are of course very good for map pressure thanks to their mobility. You can definitely chase survivors away from gens with such killers, even if they are spread out more. With killers that are just really strong in chases, you probably just want to get a down as fast as possible.

And if you play a killer like Trapper, Myers or Legion, you just have to pray for survivors to not be that good.

The fact is also that killer is just incredibly punishing, especially at the beginnig. Messing up a few times or just getting outplayed a few times at the beginning of the game can cost you the entire game, which I believe is another reason killer can feel a bit powerless sometimes.

It depends on the situation, its very hard to just say 1 solution. Best beds you can do is try to find the weakest survivor and get a early down with him, most likely he will still be able to waste abit of time until the first 3 gens pop, at this point you have to try your best to maintain hook, down or injure pressure, you can even slugg, tunnel or camp, you need to use these tools carefully trying to gain the most pressure out you can.

Sadly if you meet a full 4man team with all of them good loopers and genrushers, then there is nothing you can do, yes literally nothing. I met even recently as Blight such a team, they all where very good and could perfectly predict my rushes and ran the perfect pathing to not give me a clean rush hit on them, I still got a 1k almost 2k out of it but only after all gens where done.

I always try and identify a 3 gen area, especially on the big maps when playing a low mobility killer.

If you don't have that then best you can do is to try and spread pressure as much as possible. Otherwise there's not much else you can do.

Face camping let's 2-3 survivors rush gens.

Chasing the first unhooker means only 1 survivor doing gens

If there are 2 people going for unhook then proxycamp and tunnel so only 1 is doing gens.

If you're not pushing people off gens often don't bother with ruin, thanatophobia and nurse's calling are a much better gen slow option.
