I try to chill......I really do.....but then something triggers me in the match....maybe its the lock of hair on kates face....or the way feng screams....or the "NUH UH" sound claudette makes, I can't help but kill. Sometimes I do it on accident. Like yesterday, I had all 4 survivors on the ground with RBT's on their heads, and instead of picking one up and using intimidation to force them to do a gen, activating everyones beartraps to make them play "the game" I picked them up one by one and hooked all of them....
I've really been not myself lately, 2 matches in a row I 4k'd without caring how the survivors felt. I didn't do a long winded outro after the match....I couldn't because I can't say congratulations you're still alive...if everyone is dead. For 3 matches I played the game like Amanda wanted instead of how Jigsaw wanted, and I made it not fair, and impossible to win.

And maybe thats my problem ya know? Maybe some people can't be baptized. Maybe Amanda was right and you just need to kill them all no congratulations no escape. And thats what makes me not chill....because I would have remembered and let someone go if it weren't for that DAAAAMN LAURIE who decided to bootyshake in front of me....its her fault I had to kill....she made me do it. I was going to give them all a choice, I was going to let 1 live but NO.....SHE HAD TO BOOTY SHAKE ME! WHY ARE YOU BOOTY SHAKING ME WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO DIE! So you won't play my game FINE! I'll just hook....everyone.....

I try to keep one RBT in reserve for just such an occasion. You know, sometimes I watch a survivor have so much fun getting the trap off, and it brings a tear to my eye when I know how happy they'll be to be slugged and given a second trap.

I completely agree.

3/10 pigs just crouch and camp the hook.

The other 7/10 tunnel the person with the bear trap on all the game then go online to cry about how gens get done too fast.

The Pig is the worst killer in the game by a mile due to how toxic she enables killer to be. Give me a 4 man squadette over her anyday.

What can she do that's worse than any other killer? She can put a trap on your head before tunneling you... but if she does, then it's actually no worse than being tunneled by anyone else. She can guess you're going for a jigsaw box and patrol them... while the rest of your team does gens.

Piggy has a choice - when she wants to be super mean, she sacrifices her chances of winning the trial.

Camping... any killer can do that. And doing it crouched is no more effective than doing it standing up.

Sorry but i adore piggy and her mechanics, because no other killer aside from Myers actually makes me sweat.

Doing a gen - Is she behind me, can i risk looking around while doing a skill check?

Bear trap on head - GEDDITOFF! GEDDITOFF! GEDDITOFF! Come on this is the fourth box I've visited and I'm pretty sure she's somewhere behind me giggling her ass off.

On a hook - Yay, Im being rescued....but wait, is she hiding, is she behind that wall, that rock....that blade of grass?!!!!

If a pig is having that much fun with the mechanics as i am as a survivor, more power to them.

I do the opposite - I'll get on a gen with someone, and watch as they keep trying to tell me that my head is beeping.

With about a third of the timer left, I'll go for the boxes and see how my luck is.

Lots of Megs with no heads because of that. Seems to work better with Kate, for some reason.

Crouching around a corner though lures in survivors closer than they would be with any other killer asife from Wraith so she has an advantage.

As for the trap...well it's annoying. You're trying to get the trap off, the timer is ticking and she's lurking the boxes looking for the tunnel.

Its the fact that 1) you can't hide from her like you would a normal killer becausd you NEED to go to the boxes and 2) She doesn't need to tunnel you because you won't be doing gens anyway, but she will do it and chase you across the map for 3 gens and it just feels really sinister and spiteful. Like they could use the time of you being distracted and slow down the trst of the team but no they're contwnt to just make one person have a really miserable game.

I really hate The Pig.

Most people that play Pig, play her because they have a daily. They don't know how to use her power effectively, so they play like #########.

In theory, yes. In practice, doesn't seem to matter at all - survivors are going to rush that hook regardless. An Insidious Leatherface or Billy is a far more dangerous camper than a lil' piggy.

Exactly, it's annoying. But when you really sit and think, you're not worse off than you would have been against another killer. In fact, you're often better off than you would be against other killers. We have ways to be more irritating than other killers, but its superficial stuff really.

And don't panic if you get trapped and then unhooked, you have loads of time and do not need to be rushing to the nearest jigsaw boxes (which is what we're expecting you to do). We can't effectively patrol all the boxes and all the gens - either you're getting away, or your team is popping gens. Pig is not rewarded for focussing on one player, she's penalised for doing so.

But it's sometimes fun.

True. Could say that about a lot of killers though - Docs on PS4 seems to be a good example. Spam shock therapy for the first 5mins to complete daily, then rush around in punishment mode and try and club people.

Well 2 problems. First off, the difficulty of learning the muscle memory needed to play nurse.....ehhh...no thanks.

second...it feels dirty to be that powerful even with skill.....

Its not about the win for me, its about the experience in the middle of the match.
Did I scare people? Check.
Did people panic because oops Bear Trap? Check.
Did I play with my food before killing them? Check.
Did I play sinister mind games making gestures or standing at a window staring at people to throw them out of their 1 track look for a loop mindset? Check. (Sometimes you can check a persons ego enough to just make them...walk right into your lap)
Did I make the survivors take me seriously? Check.
Did I bring enough tools to make the game difficult enough? Check.
Did at least 1 person escape and be baptized? Check.
Was that last person injured to the point where they barely made it out giving them a Dopamine high when they do? ChhhhhhECK!

Pig does have a unique tool to counter BS with though, the RBT. Now sure, trapping folks to force them to stay in the trial post game is good. But the animation Yanks people off of rocks and other places that survivors shouldn't be.

Anyone that tunnels RBT wearers is doing it wrong. Plain and simple. Pig combats Gen Rush by literally removing Survivors from working on generators.

Now OBVIOUSLY if I'm chasing someone and I happened to go by someone working on a Jigsaw box, yes I am going to break off the one I'm chasing and hinder the progress of the one trying to save themselves. That's not tunneling though, that's continuing the removal of Survivors from the main objective. It's the same as slugging, trapping, and hooking someone. Time survivors spend not working on generators is time well spent by the killer.

I've said it multiple times, RBT's are basically hex perks that remove survivors from play ala MTG style. Yes they have the potential to come back into play but they also have the potential to stay gone.

To all you new Pig players, try not to hook survivors near Jigsaw boxes, and don't blow through all your RBT right out of the gate.

Guess they just need to make sure you're out of the game lol

I also often see hags who put down 5 traps around a hook and also facecamp.

Some people just can't think of any other way of playing I guess.

I wonder how much of Piggy's reputation is explained by the behaviour of survivors. Like camping with any other killer, you're often rewarded for tunneling trapped players because they react poorly.

Getting rescued off the hook and immediately running towards the nearest jigsaw box, without even stopping to heal, is a gift for Pigs. I can slug you with one quick hit (and then get back to applying pressure on the others), which means someone has to come off gens and rescue you again. Or I can hook you again and possibly finish you off.

And trapped survivors often don't come off boxes when you approach, they give up. Again, you're offering yourself up and then blaming me for it because I was in the area and decided to check.

See how nice us Pigs are, we're even here on this forum telling you how to beat us! Give us hugs!

I'm probably a better Hag player than I am a Piggy. The reason I don't play Hag much, is because it's a full-on experience - from the moment the game starts, everything is full throttle.

I don't trap hooks or gens, I trap all the places people are moving through... and survivors are constantly setting off my traps. It's exhausting. I don't always win, but my god can you panic survivors with Hag! Camping is a complete waste of her ability.

Edit: Will add, I ran Insidious during the Blight. Just because I wasn't focussed on "winning" and it meant I could give myself a break here and there. Set some cool traps, stand still within range, catch your breath, and wait (won't be long) for the booming to start.

That’s what makes Hag fun, though. You are fully immersed in the game and keep everyone on their toes. I love the Hag but you are right, it can be mentally exhausting having to constantly reset traps. It keeps the game fun for me though. 

If there is a Hag putting five traps at one hooked survivor, they are doing it wrong. You can horribly exploit overconfident SWF groups with one trap. I actually pulled TWO survivors off of one hooked survivor with a single trap. I was hardly 30 feet away when they booked in and popped it.

Oh, she is fun. Just too much for me.

Chases are fun though - herd those cats in a direction where you left some traps in places they'll definitely run through. Not needing to panic about loops and losing bloodlust etc. is nice.
