Pig got her best addons nerfed in exchange of buffing addons that are not viable anyways. If she at least got her basekit buffed... Maybe she will in a near future patch but at this one she was nerfed at her highest potential.

I'm not participating in the PTB, so I have no objective opinion on the balancing aspect.
Nothing you say changes my narrow and particular point. The balance philosophy will be different, and I've already outlined why. A Hex Totem can be cleansed within seconds; that's the gamble for such a compelling perk. Likewise, a Hex perk can bring a match to a halt and provide tremendous value by never getting cleansed or cleansed at the point of no return. Boon Totems don't introduce that level of power for many reasons, so they won't be balanced in the same way.

This is so disengenous. So the boon perks can't be any stronger then regular perks is what you are saying? The limitation is supposed to be the range. Fine how about this. How about they have global range but only effect the survivor who lit it? Obviously they can't be relit either.

I don’t have the PTB either but I’ve seen the potential from video evidence.
Probably best to see what the final product is after the PTB to really judge but I really hope they don’t go live as-is.

No, I’m not saying they shouldn’t be stronger… I’m saying that if they’re going to be strong then they need more of a downside. Simply blessing ONE totem to get 4 perks (whenever more boon perks come out) with strong benefits for FOUR survivors is insane.

And if the killer snuffs it he get's rid of 2 perks. Assuming they limit it to 1.

A killer doesn’t have time to scour the whole map to constantly snuff out totems.

I've only seen staged videos with perfect conditions in a controlled environment and hardly moved by those. It reminds me of the myriad videos about past perk combos. I still remember how broken and OP Soul Guard would be; everyone would run it, killers would never get to slug, and the unlimited free Unbreakable built-in was so unfair and broken, etc. There were countless videos showing people getting slugged and fully recovering in front of The Killer and, instead of getting downed, had "free BT" and got away. So this is par for the course in the DBD Community.

Soul Guard is pretty strong to run, but it’s not as common because the survivors don’t have control over the circumstances: they need to be cursed by a Hex and need to get slugged. Survivors seem to LOVE crutch perks they have absolute control over such as Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, and Decisive Strike. Boon Totems won’t be 100% control since killers currently can snuff them quickly if they take the time investment, but they’ll still have a good amount of control. The biggest problem is that they will work better with a SWF team, which can lead to what you’re saying is a “controlled environment” actually happening in a live match.
