Gen rush and regression perk reliance possible fix.

nerfs across the board

Apologies for my English in advance.

I dislike holding m1 and sitting in the same spot for half the match.

Gen Idea

gen progress lock, Locked gens can not be damaged by any means. locked gens require finding missing or replacement parts that are scattered across the map, always in random location. Each gen requires a specific part

out of 7 gens on the map there will be 5 gens that that have a lock at specific point

2 gens stay the as they always were

1 gen locks at 40% part installation adds 50%

2 gen locks at 50% part installation adds 40%

2 gens lock at 70% part installation adds 20%

survivors working on the gen that reaches locked state will be notified of the part location.

unlocked gen works regularly like it is right now, locked gen kicked by killer either with pop or regular adds 5sec to installation process once. no regression

each new gen will become 90% after installing gen related part, between 90-100 gen can be damaged like regular one but it will never go below 90%.

Tinkerer will trigger like always, except for the 40 and 50% gens it will trigger when the part is installed.

part installation takes 5sec, kick adds 5sec, pop adds another 5sec up to a maximum of 15sec part installation process.

repairing gens will look like this now:

find gen, repair regularly if gen is vanilla repair to 100% if it locks you will be notified where the required part is, go pick up run back, install takes 5sec. finish the last 10%. if another survivor already picked the part that you need they will be notified of your gens location to go to you and install it immediately. without any perks locked gen at 40% will take about 50sec to fully repair. values might need to be fine tuned.

gen parts work like regular items except that they can't disappear with franklin's

while carrying gen part can't use exhaustion perks

New item:

1st Mechanics toolbox spawns in a random location, repairs any gen fully no matter the progress. takes 40seconds. spawns only when 1 survivor dies or DC's. Survivors are notified of its location. can disappear with franklin's

2nd 2 Mechanics toolboxes spawn in 2 random locations, repairs any gen fully no matter the progress. takes 40seconds. spawns only when 2 survivor are left. Survivors are notified of their location. can disappear with franklin's

while carrying Mechanics toolbox can't use exhaustion perks, and they make a lot of clanking noise 10meter radius.

Part installation and Mechanics toolbox repair process can not be interrupted, if interrupter will need to install from the beginning.

(whether you are survivor or killer I'm sure everyone experienced games where 2 gens are done and 1 survivor dead, or worse when only 2 survivors are left and that claudett is hiding somewhere and hopes you die and she gets the hatch. And its can be quite boring for all, with this they have significantly more chance to escape or mess up.)

New Survivor Perks:

Name pending: hold items like your life depends on it, will not lose item unless downed. always know where they were dropped whether they were yours or some other survivors.

Gen Related Perk for the new locked gen thing

Name pending: when working on a generator know immediately at what point it gets locked and the location of the required part.

reduces basic installation from 5sec to 2.5sec

reduces Mechanics toolboxes repair progress from 40sec to 20sec

reduced noise when carrying Mechanics toolboxes by 25%

New Killer Perk:

Name pending: When generator reaches a locked state be notified of its location and the parts location unless its carried by a survivor and the survivor carrying the required part is crouching or walking.

If the location of the required part hasn't been shown get 15% speed boost for 10sec.


Changes to Vanilla Perks:

regression perks do not work on locked gens unless the required part has been installed

perks that say damaging generator work the same way they always did they just don't damage the gen if its in a locked state.

Eruption: works the same but adds 6 sec to installation if the gen is in the locked state.

perks like this and pop do not stack. because installation process cant be interrupted.

Gearhead: works the same but also shows the location of locked generator.

Oppression: works the same but now adds a difficult skill check to parts installation, can be in the beginning or at the end and if you fail you will be interrupted. meaning reinstall.

Overcharge: works the same with an added skill check before installation.

POP: works the same unless gen locked than adds 5sec to installation.

Tinkerer: works the same unless its 40-50% locked gen, on those it only trigger when a required part is installed.

Trail of torment: works the same except when you kick a locked gen 5sec will be added to installation. undetectable will only be removed when you damaged a survivor or a part is installed.

thats it for now, a lot of values might need to be fine tuned and perks and addons looked at, but I don't think this could possibly lead to anything. so I'm just satisfying my curiosity.
