A third secret way of escaping the trial????????
At 1:50 in the video, he mentions how the devs said that there is a third way of escaping the trial, but has never been found since now!
When I heard this, I was shocked!
In any of the lore videos I have ever heard of this! (And it is not Dcing, of course)
Does anyone have any theory, any possible path?
Could maybe this explain the existence of perks like sole survivors/left behind???
And the fact that if 2+ survivors are alive in the trial the killer can't force end game collapse closing the hatch?
This is insane, like in hours and hours of videos I never heard anyone talking about it, never.

Yeah I am surprised more people don't know about it. You just have to mori the killer and the entity will automatically take you out of a trial to turn you into a fully fledged killer.
But in all seriousness, you are telling me that there is currently an in-game way of escaping the trial that has nothing to do with the hatch or exit gates? While that does sound really cool, is it true?
And why is this not getting more attention???

If I remember correctly, back whenever the Halloween Chapter was released in 2016, the first Golden Toolbox was found under a picnic table. I think the devs may have been referring to the Golden Toolbox. Also, keep in mind that yellow-colored generators were also first introduced in the Halloween Chapter as well. Finally, notice how almost all Golden Toolboxes are found on the ground albeit hidden. If this really is in the game and hasn't been found yet, my best bet would be that if a survivor is downed and if they crawl to the location of the Golden Toolbox, they can pick it up. Golden Toolboxes would only be able to be picked up if you are in the dying state. After doing so, repairing the yellow generator with the Golden Toolbox maybe opens up the beginning to the third route of escape. I always like to imagine another larger layer to the basement opens up. Who knows though. It really is strange that this hasn't been found through data mining.

A shot in the dark here, but it could be because of the spaghetti code. I imagine it would be pretty hard to find that.

Same! That part of the video definitely caught my attention!
I assume this undiscovered third method would require some very specific tasks to be completed, but considering the many streamers and data miners this community has, I'm surprised not a single clue or hint leading toward it has been revealed yet. I'm very interested in what this alternate escape method is unless the devs were just teasing us lol.

My money is something to do with the basement. Maybe if each survivor shone a light at the 4 centre hooks from different angles or something? If the Entity doesn't like light, hitting it at the heart may do something. But that's pure guesswork.

Has anyone checked if ALL gates have the small extra door in the big gate? Maybe it's not just as plain decorative as we're led to believe

In fact, I hear the devs are going to be taking away Exit gates and hatches, but make the basement an instant win if you get down there. Triple BP too!

Dying in a trial is techincally escaping it because survivors are sent back to the campfire upon death
They got rid of the 'Death is not an escape' as well I think

Whatever it is would have to be something available in the base game - starting 4 survivors, starting 3 killers, starting realms/maps, starting item/perk sets.

I'd bet there are a lot of secrets in the game people just haven't found. I remember seeing a post about weird black, semi-transparent figures people would just find in-game and I don't think anything ever came of that.
