new mmr = old ranking system

First two weeks of sbmm were great. I was matched with good survivors, each of them understood what's needed to be done, no one was terrible in chase, and overall I had fun because finally I knew I could rely on my team. Not for long. Week ago I started noticing huge influx of what I first thought were bots added to speed up killer queues, but they were real players, just brand new. Now my lobbies consist fully from people with less than 400h who don't have a slightest idea of how to play survivor.

So my conclusion is that mmr is capped. Now all hatch campers, and all blendetts are catching up, and are now matched with actually good players, which is exactly how old system was working.

I might be wrong, maybe my mmr went down too low, but it shouldn't because I was winning most of my game. What's been your experience with mmr now that some time had passed? Did it get easier with time for killers? Or harder for survivors?

Not even kidding, I have lost games multiple times in a row as tbh it feels like my killers are getting harder the more times I lose, so instead I am done with dbd for awhile as this isn't even remotely fun anymore

Well it wouldn't surprise me as behaviour is too afraid that their player base is too small for a realistic MMR range from noob to pro and so they cap it and keep the widening of matchmaking parameters to compensate for long queue times.

So all in all in the long-term they simply painted the old system over, (assumingly) took out the monthly reset for another timeframe i don't know ATM and sold it for something completely new with old problems after some time.

I have another theory as to why MMR is like this.

It's not that they're disguising it as the old ranking system.

It is the old Emblem System.

I go into more detail on the thread I made for it

But basically... With how Grades incentivize you to play a certain way, high MMR is becoming full of players who should not be there purely because of how it allegedly functions. Survivors increase MMR by escaping, Killers by getting 4ks. And Killers at 1900 MMR gets 1700 MMR for everyone else.

Right now, Grades are the old Emblem System. And because of this, it's causing everyone's MMR to be manipulated or artificially inflated. Because I assume even casual players wants to get to Iridescent 1 because it's supposed to be more about playtime rather than skill.

But with how the old Emblem System works... That isn't really possible. Since the old Emblem System also encourages you to play according to the pipping/emblem system.

Well, as killer i still get all 4 survivors that know how to play.
