Please explain this. My first game as Trickster since a few months ago and I go against 2 red ‘grades’, a gold and a silver. How am I supposed to learn a new killer if I can’t play a game without being sweated on? SBMM genuinely is pathetic, I preferred losing games and making my rank worse just so I can go against easier opponents with the worst killer in the game.

Killers without a MMR will use the average of your other killers. After that it can go up or down.

Grades have nothing to do with Matchmaking. And seeing that you got 23k points and a 1K, the game probably did not went that bad.

Grades just mean they played a lot, it's not tied to the MMR score.

How is there several posts like this every day, the Devs have made it crystal clear. Grades are not ranks, they are not used for matchmaking. How are you complaining about being matched based on MMR, yet you're directing your annoyance at Grades?

Grades "have nothing to do with matchmaking" but they DO indicate an overall estimate of how much that player has been playing DbD over the last 1-30 days.
So, a red grade doesn't mean that they're the best of the best. But it DOES mean that they've put in a minimum of several dozen hours (and been successful, at that).
So, yeah- not an indicator of concrete skill, but definitely an indicator of how much recent practice they have. And practice, as they say, makes perfect.

Grades are playtime based, not sbmm rating.
To be honest those survivors look like they aren't sweaty in the slightest. No DS or Unbreakable. Only 1 Dead Hard and Borrowed Time. Genuinely you couldn't have asked for a more chill looking set of survivors.
Lastly I don't think Trickster is anywhere near the worst killer in the game right now.

The actual rank badge on the far left is 100% irrelevant to their MMR. So what if they're red ranks? They're still not all that great if they go against a killer you've never played as before.

Not from what I saw from Scott's videos, but the gap was smaller than I recalled. Some guy datamined some info that Scott talked about and they came up with 200 less MMR on new killers.

Thats was a brand new account where they only played Spirit to the MMR cap. The next killer they played had a basr score of 1700 because the only other killer played was 1900. It would of been different if more killers had ratings.
Plus that is just the starting point. That 1700 would go lower on that killer after losing a few matches.
