Isn't the MMR system even easier to game then the Emblem system if it only tracks escapes?
This is in response to the recent Q&A, where it was (paraphrasing here) stated that with such a variety in gameplay MMR for the most part just checks if each role's primary goals were accomplished to see if a match pushes them up or down in "Rank". So Killers increase in MMR if they kill, and Survivors increase in MMR if they survive.
So here's a hypothetical for ya:
Me and the boys get together for a full 4-man group of Survivors. We bring everything we can to dominate the match we're put in; We coordinate via third party voicechat, we have dedicated runners and gen jockeys, if someone's feeling like he wants to style particularly hard on the Killer we may even have a dude with a save or sabo setup. We get matched with a (literal) Clown who only has three perk slots unlocked and doesn't know what yellow bottles do. He gets run around all game, doesn't manage a single hook, and me and the boys open both gates...
...then wander back into the map, hiding until we all die from endgame collapse.
Baby Killer had no fun at all, we get to bully a baby for the whole game. Baby Killer's MMR goes up because all four Survivors died, matching him with tougher Survivors, and our MMR goes down to match us with Prenatal Killers.
That... can't be right, right? I'm getting something wrong here, surely?
Please tell me that I'm getting something wrong.

Nope, you got it right.

I guess endgame collapse kills were not specifically discussed. But generally, yeah. That’s a possible way.
also, do we even know how the system matches SWFs with different MMRs, average, maximum, minimum?

^ This guy get's it. It's kind of screwed up but I have allot of left over cake so I have been slaughtering baby survivors and then letting them all escape so I can farm them... 🤐

There is nothing to game. If you want to never escape, the system respects that, and still tries to give you a 50% escape rate regardless. So you go lower and lower, that is intended.

Average. So if u have 3 godlike survivors and 1 baby u will match average killer.

Is that confirmed?
(At this point I wouldn’t even be surprised if they take the lowest MMR..)

It's not since mmr is hidden and not going to be revealed. It's just my experience. But in every other game it's always average and I don't think DbD is different.

But why would you want to do gens if you dont escape anyway? Its boring. So yh technically its easier, bc you can also do gens and before mmr you couldnt (bc you would pip), but why would you do that?
It is a problem, but it was possible before mmr to bully killer and stay on the same level.

That's only one game.
Of course there are outliers, but the main factor is the pattern.
If you are consistently getting more kills/escapes, then you're obviously doing something right. Regardless of whether or mot it's due to skill, or cheap tactics like camping, you're playing at a level that is objectively above your opponents. Therefore the system should react by matching you with higher 'level' opponents to compensate, opponents who can stand up to your skill/cheap tactics.

It can be gamed, and I'm sure a more in depth system would be datamined anyway, and that too would be worked around. But over the course of say 100 matches, I would expect on average to kill survivors of lower skill than me and lose to those who are higher. So for majority of games it should roughly be correct and that should put me were I belong.
I still find it hard to consider getting everyone on death hook and then them all escaping as anything other than a huge defeat. The MMR system would be at the gate teabagging me too!
