Rumors are Pinhead had his lines removed because of a deal with NFT's to make more money.
NFT's basically let you mark a digital product with a seal of authenticity, making it more valuable than a mere copy of said digital product.
This is SUPER bad because 1. It's greedy as ######### and 2. It hurts the planet with crypto farms

BHVR is supposedly getting involved in NFTS.

Looks like a rumour about licensing issues and 'NFTs' has gotten the DBD community all riled up over very little credible evidence. Again.
Looks like an incredibly obvious hoax personally. I love seeing this community have ut another meltdown over something that hasn't been proved.

Such an outlandish and insane rumor that has no truth to it should be easily deniable... we're waiting. Time will tell.

Someone who wanted to stir up [BAD WORD] decided to drop this late Friday so that every easily excitable person would go nuts for the entire weekend before BHVR responds on Monday.
Maybe BHVR will come out on the weekend to say something, but usually stuff like this is dropped on Friday because it gives people 2+ days to speculate wildly.

Forgive my ignorance but what is a NFT?

the gaming industry is just unchecked capitalism

Yeah pretty muchh.
######### sake, Lootboxes are pretty much normalized at this point.

A digital good being sold as if it were physical and limited, marked with a code of "digital authenticity"
Basically a signed portrait from an artist vs a printed photo of the same portrait, only digital.

But it wasn't on a Friday
This has been out there since 23rd September and of course it mentions DBD in these articles.
That's been over 2 weeks they could've had to deny it. It only started gaining traction recently on twitter with yet another article released, this time just by a more credible source

Oh no, I saw that the original articles are from Sep 23. But like you said, it went under the radar. From what I see, it went nuclear Friday night right before a three-day weekend with a Canadian holiday (Monday is Thanksgiving in Canada). It's suspicious.

It only really went viral because of one specific news article published today. And yeah it's deifnitelt suspicious but it also isn't like it was first announced yesterday.
