Do people really believe this NFT stuff?
From looking at the images it looks somewhat fake. people are getting all excited with little proof (factual or not).
just wait and see wont ya?
yall will point ur fingers at BHVR for everything even when something so unrealistic comes along.
I think yall are gullible.

I don't, I'm waiting for bhvr to say something.

I don't want to believe it's true.
But the fact that I trust so little in BHVR to not even give them the benefit of the doubt until people started pointing out how fake it is, should tell you just how much trust the community had in BHVR that this was able to spread a lot.
I talked to friends on Discord about this and they STILL don't believe this isn't real. Not until BVHR confirms it themselves. Same friends also has been trashing BHVR's recent decisions.

Im honestly not worried at all. the images looks superrrrrr fake. if they were making an NFT collection they would put alot more work into it.

kate_best_girl(God/Science bless his/her soul) has pretty much disproved it IMO.

lol don't you know what forum you're on?
Even if it is real, it's not what people seem to think it is. But people want to be mad at BHVR, and reading comprehension is not the internet's strong suit. Unless BHVR decides to say something before Monday, it could be a very stupid weekend.

"They would alot more work into it."
Yeah about that.
All the same channel, three different NFTs. ALL OF THEM SCAMS WITH LITTLE EFFORT PUT INTO IT.
1 -
I hope it isn't true, but it doesn't seem outside of BHVR's poor decision making process to consider this a good idea.
3 -
Meh, it just tells you that the community is extremely gullible. I for one feel silly for not bothering to look at it more closely.
4 -
honestly I don't think even bhvr for all there shenanigan's is capable of this type of stuff.

It's very easy to prime a community with a fading trust with the developers.
I do not blame anyone at all for thinking BHVR is willing to do this #########. Especially coming off the heels of a string of bad decisions, even if there are good ones sprinkled around.
1 -
Feels like a copout. 'I allowed myself to be manipulated by lazy and malicious lies about X but it's not my fault because I don't trust X anyway.' We're only talking about a game here, but I can't agree with that kind of thinking.

Any hoax goes wild because the evidence that is there is verifiable enough until it's under massive scrutiny. There's no point in trying to seem like "Well, I would never fall for a scam like that.", point is it happened. And this should be more than enough reason for BHVR to work on regaining the community's trust so we wouldn't believe something as insane as this with some vague evidence.
It's easy to stoke anger in this community, you should know this by now. Much more so when it's directed at BHVR. And BHVR has done greedy ######### in the past to make a quick buck.
What do you want me to say? "I'm stupid and you weren't for not believing a rumour that was thought to be true."?
If that helps you sleep better at night, there.

The quality of Q&A, the lies about the MMR system, the silence about the Pinhead voice ... Bhvr is already in #########. So the situation with the NTF does not seem so impossible.
3 -
They probably unironically wanted you to say that and you just gave them the satisfaction. For shame, DelsKibara...

Again, whatever helps them sleep at night. shrugs

My first post pretty clearly indicated that I believed it too. So no, what I would like more people to do is admit that blaming BHVR for their own gullibility is an act of pure deflection. You want BHVR to be more accountable for their mistakes? Own your own first.
Ah, I remember when I couldn't read...

Do you seriously believe that Behaviour has the capability of implementing NFT technology in a game where the simplest change in the code generates 10 bugs? I'm not worried at all.
3 -
Okay. That is probably the best argument against this.
4 -
I didn't read your first post, bro. I am not in love with you.
Here is what you wrote, "Feels like a copout. 'I allowed myself to be manipulated by lazy and malicious lies about X but it's not my fault because I don't trust X anyway.' We're only talking about a game here, but I can't agree with that kind of thinking."
So now you can see why I speculated you might have been a bit egotistical. I didn't get my confirmation until you decided to respond to me. So now I can verify this as truth and remain accountable as per what your stated. See? I am a good boy.

I could definitely see them pushing through an attempt even if it was broken/would break the game.
1 -
I dunno, really? After all the trouble BHVR went through to get rid of limited edition exclusives? Their Rift stuff goes into the store despite some people complaining. They gave out holiday items despite some people complaining. Stranger Things going away isn't by choice, Netflix is calling in all its contracts.
Anyway, I don't think it's actually possible for a game to handle NFTs like, at all. The computing required is too extreme. The only thing BHVR could do is give out a single-use code, which has nothing to do with NFTs. They do that already with giveaways.
But still, this in-game items rumor seems to be based on a misreading of a questionable website advertising expensive digital artwork.
Unless you just mean them pushing through anything that could break the game, in which case yeah, we console players won't forget the RE chapter anytime soon.

Resident Evil Chapter? What happened? I forgot...

Had to disable the DC penalty thanks to the insane amount of crashing on Console that was happening. Also disabling RPD because of crashes. And dead hard would freeze consoles until they fixed it with the Hellraiser Chapter drop.

Nonsense, everyone here loves me.
Yes, I wrote that, in response to a specific comment that was in response to another specific comment. Context. It matters.
I hope now you've learned a valuable lesson about rushing to take a side without bothering to check what you talking about. (Hey, that sounds familiar...)

No, Science Guy, I have learned nothing and Behavior is in on this NFT business. I just know it.
0 -
Completely understandable, I gotta respect that.

I could see them pushing through an attempt at anything including an NFT even if it would be broken/break the game because they've pushed through plenty of stuff that was broken/broke the game in the past.
While they may have given away some exclusive cosmetics there are still plenty of exclusive/limited cosmetics that won't be made available or have no signs of being made available to everyone like Legacy, Meg's Deathgarden mask, Bloodletting tshirt, and anniversary crowns.
The main issue with this rumor is that so many didn't question BHVR would do something crappy like lock content behind NFTs. On Twitter there are fake BHVR accounts commenting negative things and people think it's the actual BHVR account because they don't notice the account is missing a blue checkmark or its BHWR instead of BHVR. People see these and think "that's something they'd say/do..." without looking further because BHVRs actions have severely lowered the faith/trust the community has in them and they expect the worst. BHVRs PR department needs to work on getting back the community's trust so rumors like this instantly get brushed off not instantly believed until people find signs it's fake/bhvr releases statement denying it.

I'm hoping that it's fake but every comment I've made that isn't me saying i hope it's fake has been me treating it as if it's true just in case. Because deep down I'm genuinely not sure I have the faith in BHVR to not have done this just to get Hellraiser in.
Either way it's been a good opportunity to properly learn about the real environmental opportunity cost to these things

I mean, yeah, there's a lot of stuff I'm unhappy about, but... really, in the current social climate, no one trusts anyone. People are always looking for something to be angry about. People want to believe the worst.
Some people see the BHWR Twitter and think it's real, and some people also read articles on The Onion and think they're real. People's willingness to believe something isn't a good metric for believability.
BHVR does a lot wrong, I'm not saying they don't. I'm very negative and one of the first to give them crap about practically everything. But saying they brought this on themselves is a stretch. Either someone created a troll website or someone is selling expensive digital artwork that uses BHVR's Hellraiser models. Either way, it's never stated that they're selling exclusive in-game content, but there are people saying BHVR is going to charge $200 for Pinhead to have his voice lines like it's already official.
I dunno, maybe there are just so many things I'm unhappy with BHVR about that I'm reluctant to add more to the list. My frustration with them is too exhausting already.
