What are NFT's?
it's been a week since i've been involved with any DBD stuff and i come back to hear whispers about NFT's and the Hellraiser stuff.
What actually are NFT's?
are they good? bad? i have no idea , i just know they have a pretty stupid acronym that i don't know what it means

To put it very simply, it is a non-fungible token, say you see a sick image on the internet, but you don't know how to copy and paste pictures and you have to be a special boy at all cost, so you get yourself a verified certificate that you own this piece of art that doesn't even really exist and it's yours and it belongs to you and only to you. I could even screenshot this thread right now, get it verified and claim that picture as my own.
You buy them with Cryptocurrency. Crypto requires "mining", which is basically algorithm solving that you let your PC do. Naturally, this consumes electricity. Some people will tell you that three seconds of mining can destroy the entire Amazon rainforest, some will tell you that it's literally harmless, but the main point everyone can agree on is that it's wasteful, pointless and Behaviour's involvement in this would be bad news as it also may or may not impose other various restrictions on content.

They are cr*ptocurrency like... well, they claim to be art, but they are more... bookmarks to art you have no control over.
It's all a massive scam.
and it's a massive scam that wastes massive non-renewable energy, thus blasting as much co2 into the air as the country of norway in several years.

You can go to a dude that doesn’t need to be in no way associated with the Mona Lisa, da Vinci, or the Louvre, hand them a boatload of cash, and in return they tear down a measurable amount of the Amazon, mulch the trees, and make a piece of paper saying “X (you) owns the Mona Lisa”. Then they hang that piece of paper in a broom closet. And that’s an NFT.
also the above broomcloset is a very specific one the person who sold you the thing can brick up whenever the like, without anything you can do about it.
anyone telling you there anything positive about crypto is either benefitting from the scam or is a gullible fanboy of the people benefitting from it.
