Weird things you do in DbD?
I'll start. I use Iron Will nearly every game but I only use rank 2 (75%) on my male characters because I like hearing their injured noises but don't want them to be TOO loud. (minus Steve, he's kind of annoying) I also like crawling into the corner and bleeding out when the Killer slugs me for the 4k since they only get 50 points for the bleedout! A little devious, but I enjoy it.
What weird things do you do/enjoy in DbD? Or am I the only one? 😛

I like to mori the respective survivors from the chapter of the killer im playing as.
6 -
I like to think of perks that are thematic to the killer or survivor I'm playing and try to find a way to incorporate them
8 -
Insisting on healing people who don't want to be healed sometimes if we are close to winning anyway.
It makes me laugh too much when they point and try to run away from me.
6 -
I want tier 1 Distressing on my killers. Not tier 2, not tier 3, and it makes leveling up killers extremely difficult with the current system because it prioritizes tier 2 perks over everything else. There are killers I got to prestige 3 who I'm waiting to level up to get perks on because if Distressing shows up early in their Bbloodwebs I'm screwed, there will be no way to avoid tier 2.
2 -
You want your killers terror radius to be slightly bigger? I don't understand
2 -
Whenever I go against a Nemesis, I always hide near him just to listen to his chase music as it's such a banger.
6 -
I want the 100% Deviousness boost with the smallest TR increase possible. The 100% boost is consistent through tiers.
I do know how small the TR increase is through tiers. It doesn't matter. It's a weird "me" thing: I accept that and don't expect people to understand.
4 -
I get that. Deviousness is difficult on some killers
3 -
Sometimes I try throwing games with my SWF group, because it’s just hard to take this game seriously sometimes lol.
2 -
Same.
I used to "explain" using Brutal Strength on Freddy because of how powerful he is in the Dream World, for example.
3 -
I teabag back as Ghostface.
1 -
I randomize every build every time using an app prior to a match. Also, I need to Black Pip or better to go up 1 level in the Bloodweb. It means I level up very slowly, but I love how much I get from it.
2 -
If I have an odd number of a certain addon or item I have to use it. And when all my items and addons are even numbers it bothers me tremendously using them.
2 -
I'm pretty compulsive when it comes to any of the counters in the game - I try to keep them even or in multiples of three. Makes playing Pig kinda screwy, but I think the anxiety makes me a better killer overall :P

During the Endgame Collapse, I like to play a little "mini-game". If I close the hatch as killer, I want to hook the last survivor. However, if they are able to loop me long enough or hide long enough so that the Entity finishes them, I tell them in the post-chat that they beat me. I also play the "mini-game" as survivor where I try to get killed by the Entity instead of being hooked.

At the start of the trial, I ALWAYS traverse the map to the left, in somewhat of a clockwise fashion. (So if I start south at the 6th hour, I make why way towards 7, 8, 9 and so forth and so on). I usually don’t run into the killer when I do this. Unfortunately Lethal Purser has a little buzz, so it’s increased my chances ever since Nemmie came out- but I still like my odds so I continue to do it. Also, I do not get on the closest gen to me. I kid you not, it feels like the killer goes to that gen 90% of the time. And that’s why I usually don’t work on the second closest either. I will however check the second closest for Ruin. If it’s in play, I continue my rotation depending on the map. Some maps I know where the majority of hex’s spawn, so I’ll make a bee line for those. If no Ruin and killer gives a noise que (DS Gunshot or PH Sword scrape) from afar, or injured someone not close, I’ll work on that second gen. This is my early match routine every. Single. Time. Lol.

I love going into tantrum state as Leatherface. I sometimes try to down people or destroy pallets with it. I also love chasing them at the exit gates and bumping the invisible wall as an Easter Egg to the ending of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And with the new outfit, we now look the part.
4 -
If I'm playing as survivor and mess up a pallet stun or flashlight save I find the nearest corner/wall and face it in shame, then wait for the killer to come and down me coz I'm so embarrassed and deserve to be hooked for my mistake lmao
3 -
As Twins at the end of a hard match for survivors where I 3 genned them and dragged out the game for way too long I reward them for their efforts at the exit by letting everyone kick Victor once
4 -
Hey, I do the same thing as Survivor! If I can't open the exit gates I just loop until the Entity finishes me off. It's actually worked out in my favor however, I looped a Blight in front of the gate for a while and he finally downed me, but let me open the gate and leave! I felt like I earned the escape in his eyes. 😌

I love shaking my head at TTV's just to piss them off if they are streaming or not -w-
1 -
I find it weird how I don't cry when I get 4 man bullied squads in my game.
1 -
I like doing 360s while fatigued with Nurse. It's kind of funny seeing TTVs react to that.
1 -
If I see a Feng Min or a David, I immediately target them. Not because I feel the players who play those characters are toxic or anything, but because David's howls of pain are hilarious, and I'm addicted to smacking Feng for Squeaks.
It's like, every time I see a Feng Min, I say to myself "Squeaker!" and ignore the others to go after her.
IDK, it's become one of the Guilty pleasures of this game for me I guess...

Whenever I play hag, I place a trap at the bottom of the basement steps when I find it. I don't set out to camp hooks there or anything, I just love scaring the hell out of survivors looking for basement treasure.
2 -
At this point I guess it’s considered weird that I have fun playing the game, and that on both sides, without being highly skilled. And not even SWF.
4 -
1- That one match as Spirit, I always do a 360 before M1 survivors
2- I usually let a survivor escape, who is shipped with my perspective Killer (Trapper & Meg ; Wraith & Nea ect), but only if they dress good. As said, Meg was spared the most because I main Trapper.
3- That one challenge required me to chase survivors for 180sec. So I only chased but not hit, survivors thought they were super good loopers
4- It took me a day to have some survivors understood that I want to play squid
5- If Im not in chase and Spirit starts phasing. Touch that husk
3 -
But Nea came with Nurse and not Wraith 🤔
2 -
If I lose a pip, I have to play perkless next game. Then, I'm allowed to play with perks again when I black pip/earn one or two pips.
So, if I depip the whole day, I play perkless the whole day. I also did the same with cosmetics—I lose a pip I use this cosmetic, I earn a pip I use this one.

You're not alone. I have fun as a solo Survivor. I don't play Killer often, but I have fun as well.
1 -
You can see the shipping arts all over the place on the internet. Its the ship not DLC
0 -
Oh. Shipping in that sense.
well. I genuinely haven’t seen that ship otherwise it would probably have clicked sooner for me. Nea and Wraith?! I don’t support that. Also Trapper is more often shipped with Dwight, or at least they should be?

Quickly tap a gen to see if the killer has Ruin. Except I tend to do this throughout the match, when I already know they have ruin or even when it has been cleansed.
1 -
I do that too!
2 -
Before dying decided mmr I would always try to boop pig's snoot, I'd die trying if she wouldn't let me. If pig was nice and let me boop her I would give her kill - either by pointing at hook at end for her to do it or having entity kill me for her. Either way I was dying to the pig. 😂

I haven’t even noticed, but I do that too somehow? 🤨
2 -
I like yelling when hillbilly yells during the chainsaw sprint.
2 -
I don’t know if it’s “weird” but something that comes to mind when I’m playing killer is I’ll do a full 360 through a doorway while carrying a survivor. I guess it’s for stylepoints lol but to be honest if I get even the slightest bit stuck from a survivor wiggling it’s just how I avoid it altogether. I’ve seen people do it just before hooking someone but I don’t think I’ve really ever seen it used to elegantly carry a survivor through the threshold lol.
I recently made a friend while playing survivor that is pretty new, close to maybe only 200 hours but we started this little game where surviving isn’t the win condition… we both put on object and DS then whichever one of us lives or dies as the obsession is the winner. Basically if they start as the obsession I have to steal by hitting a DS but they have a chance to take it back with DS later.
Also if I’m killer and a full sweep was easily obtainable I like to to try and gain a little trust with someone while the gens are being worked on so we can do loot chests and look for basement etc lol or if the gates are open and I have the last survivor on my shoulder I like to have a little “syke!” Kind of fun where I carry them to the exit but turn back as if I changed my mind and walk to a hook, then back to the gate a few steps, then to the hook.. pretending like I’m struggling to determine their fate but in the end drop them at the exit. Hopefully a few people have gotten some enjoyment from it lol.

In the end game as killer or survivor, I don't like the pressure. As a survivor I don't like the pressure of searching for the hatch and getting there first. Or trying to open the gates the killer is patrolling. My go to strategy is searching chests for keys and if that doesn't work I cleanse totems and find a spot to slowly die at.
As killer, I will look for hatch but I don't really care about finding it first. If I do find the hatch, I'm only going to patrol the doors if they're close. Sometimes I'll just stand at one door, body blocking it. The survivor is free to escape through the other door.
I just really don't like those end game scenarios.
2 -
That obsession game sounds fun!
could be done with For The People instead of DS as well
2 -
If someone goes afk I'll down them and carry them with me everywhere
4 -
I always run into the basement first thing and yell to my friends "territorial imperative check"
Also I love runng territorial imperative
1 -
I like running into the basement myself but the Killer usually has Lethal Pursuer instead of Territorial Imperative... I almost got trapped in the basement by a Trapper (haha) who trapped the window and doors and then chased me out of the basement. Thankfully, someone disarmed one of the door traps and I escaped! But then the Trapper went AFK for the rest of the match... Lol

Here's another weird thing I do
I only put charms on hooks that I think the killer I'm playing would have
E.g
Trapper has the bear trap, macmillan sign
Wraith has his bell and the autohaven wrecker tag
And probably my favourite - On myers I just have the blighted pumpkin and nothing else.
3 -
Lol! I’ll have to sneak that perk into a match sometime and not tell them so I can sweep a last second victory out from under them hahaa
1 -
Flashbang my teammates. I find it really funny to run up to a gen and just flashbang myself and everybody there, usually i get silly reactions. Sometimes i give them a flashbang to see if they'll flashbang me back, which they usually do lol. I never do it when it would harm the team though, that would be mean.
2 -
As a killer, I'll usually try to give the last survivor the hatch. Occasionally, I'll let a duo escape after I've hooked both twice, particularly if they've played well.
It feels...right? The final girl always gets away, and sometimes she brings a friend :).
1 -
Oh, this reminds me. Way back in the day, I used to play Starcraft 2 at a fairly decent level.
I was also pretty fat.
So I had a rule that, whenever I lost a game, I'd do a set of push-ups. It let me clear my head and shake off the loss, and after a few weeks I'd lost 4kg and people were commenting on how much fitter I was looking.
2 -
Yo that might just have been me. Was it a match in badham?

I try to give everyone a shot at doing some of everything when I'm killer.
