It's interesting. Definitely a far different feel than DBD.

If this game is any sort of fun it will take the throne from DBD strictly because there is more to do on both sides right away...0

Looks good as a game. Has a really fast game feel. But it's completely different than DbD.

Damn that game is brutal lol0

I think BHVR should look to this game and get some inspiration, as the devs have done one heck of a job on this one. Especially when considering, there are various objectives that must be completed, various object that one must acquire in order to complete these objectives, while still keeping it balanced, where both sides must keep on their toes if they want to have any chance of winning.

It definitely looks very interesting. It has that Left 4 Dead & Friday the 13th kinda vibe to it that I'm liking. It looks like as the survivors you have multiple objectives to do (I hope) you can barricade doors to stop the killers from getting in and it looks like you have to find items and weapons to try and defend yourself. It looks very cool and fun and if it does great, then I'm sorry DBD... You will be dethroned. Most importantly if the game has Dedicated Servers then I'm all for the hype train.1

I have to agree, this seems far more balanced, thought through and well executed. Also, it does seem to use a solid framework. Closed beta begins nov. 2-4, so it won't be long before it's out. The devs seem to know what they're doing.0

I was hyped for this game until I learned that it uses the same matchmaking as f13: you don't get to choose your role.
That's a no go for me. I want to decide if I'm killer or survivor.2 -

Probaböy a good idea to force everyone to play each side when I look at dbd......1 -

honestly looks like a carbon copy of L4D's multiplayer with a slight twist.
SWF in that game would be even worse than DBD.

Pssssh why wait that long to play a new game. Haven't even touched DbD in almost a week since Red Dead 2 came

They said the same about Friday The 13th.
This is more balanced and more fun then compared to f13
We'll see about that, haha. The game hasn't even been released yet and here we are saying that its more balanced. DbD has remained on the throne forever, despite all the doomsayers.

It seems fun and I definently want to play it when it comes out. I love the strangler but he seems to suffer more than the other killers due to the core mechanic for survivors is teamwork and the strangler seems like the pick them off one by one kind of guy. I'm giving this game a chance but it might seem like dbd will get some competition0

Yes it's an achievement by the devs with only 1 game mode for both sides but for awhile now we've been wanting the basic QOL of being able to get rid of useless addons and offerings that we never use..... WHY?? Why not give us this freedom? The 4 survivor and 3 killer days are gone... for awhile we've been wanting new game modes and the ability to kill with friends they dont give it to us... survivors want more to do and for the first time in the 2 years the devs finally implement an event secondary objective to test the waters... what's the hold up? 2 years is enough time for a game to die look at but because theres no competition in the field this game lives... f13 only has 1 killer and that's one of the main issues, 1 playstyle and theres like 1 map... Last year starts out with 3 killers with already more abilities and fun factor for that player, same with the survivors.... survivors in dbd have wanted to chance to fight the killer but if this happened in DBD the killer would get creamed!... last year starts out with the ability to fight the killer... I hope it does well because then it forces bhvr to take action and possibly implement things that players have been wanting for awhile now

I wouldn’t say “DBD” throne taker. I think it’s Friday the thirteenth, but with better development.1

yea been watching tons of Last year streams its garbage compared to DbD, no fear of the killer no suspense and if you stick with your team mates the killer will be bullied far worse then any killer in dbd ever has. there is good reason the killer select is the way it is in Last Year, as there is no way i would ever want to play as a killer in that game. if you think seal teams in DbD is bad wait till you see them in Last year.

One question about this game. I notice everybody using voice comms in the game. Is that mandatory? Because personally I heavily dislike using voice communication with strangers in video games. So that would be a problem for me.

A few touch ups deff need to happen on the survivor side but I takes getting used to playing killer ya cant just jump in and wait at the insta death spots you need to hide in predator mode... one change that needs happening is the survivors shouldnt be able to see what killer it is after every death... this game is no where near as bad as it is and it has a ton of potential... remember this game is in beta and it already offers more fun things to do and feels more like a finished product then DBD and it's missing the final touches even in beta it already has leader boards!... DBD has felt unfinished for years now "shrugs"0

Last year is so disgustingly unbalanced that playing perkless and addonless Freddy against a 4man SWF gen rushers with 4xDS, 4xSC, 4xSB and 4xADR sounds fun and fair in comparison.

Damn that sucks. What if someone doesn't have a micro attached though? I mean the game looks really good but I'd rather not communicate with strangers.

It really feels like a good game, inspired by the L4D versus mode. Just missing some stuff.
DbD on the other hand has it's Maps, Killers, Perks and Offerings etc. It's a full fletched product that is and has evolved over time. It might feel or look rougher sometimes and there is always bugs and issues with it. It could be better, but it's nothing I would call unfinished.
