BHVR should do the right thing and remove all Hellraiser content from DbD
I believe that the only ethical decision in this situation would be to remove all of their Hellraiser content from DbD until such a time as no one involved in licensing Hellraiser is also associated with NFTs.
I understand that in order to get this IP and include it in the game, BHVR likely had to agree to terms of a contract. They were likely forced to participate, but they still agreed to the contract. BHVR even providing assets to an NFT creation scheme is disgusting, as they surely must have been aware prior to the fact.
And for those who say "Well they already got the assets it's too late now," BHVR can make a larger statement by saying "We would rather not associate our game and community with NFTs" and give no visibility to NFT-producing scumbags like Boss Protocol.
There is no other way I think I would ever trust BHVR again and I am petitioning Steam for refunds and notifying them that Dead by Daylight has NFT-related content in the game. I encourage you all to do the same.

Remove this Pinhead and get Clive Barker's when he wins back the lawsuit. Please for the love of God.

I'd totally be ok if they removed the chapter and refunded all accounts in auric cells. Brought the perks back as generals and repurpose the power for an original killer

Nah I want my real money back.

I would love for it to just be a guy in a yellow trench coat and boots with a hook hand

I like this idea

That too. I was simply thinking of the easiest way. I imagine refunding actual transactions is a lot harder than pressing a button and giving everyone free currency

Is that not the killer from I Know What You Did Last Summer?

Shhhhhhhhhhh

I don't know if thats possible, they might be able to put the money back into your steam wallet but I remember those being non-refundable.

Removing the Hellraiser paragraph entirely and refunding everyone is indeed the most logical choice.
Or they could give the game to me and I will fix it.
Both would work.

They SHOULD...but instead they're probably not going to and are now working with an nft company so ehh

Remove the entire chapter. I don't care if I don't get a refund or I lost all my progress on Pinhead.
Just remove it and this NFT Bullcrap.

You would really take this game places.

I would do my absolute best to bring back the game that all of us knew and loved.
Make DBD feel like DBD, as it should.
4 -
Maybe then I wouldn't have panic attacks from constantly being in a state of hyperfocus and self reprimand from the tiniest of mistakes. Something that only happens to me in DBD and R6 Siege.

Would you let us use characters with their old models as skins, and give pig an infinite dash addon?

Or a Chain Demon style like from DnD.....now that could look sweet

Dam I like that idea

I'd be fine with that. I didn't even buy it. If they had released it before they went live with EBMM then i might've picked it up but now i'm really glad they didn't.

I would help you with this, I promise.
Your first wish would be granted in no time!
The second... possibly.

What would that actually achieve though? Boss Protocol will still go ahead with their NFT business. Buying the chapter doesn't change that.

Please don't take him from me. I've waited so very long and he's great.

Unfortunately, yes, Pinhead is one of my favorite horror characters of all time, and his design is super cool, his mechanics feel fresh and rewarding, and I would still demand they remove him from the game.
I know there's no such thing as "ethical consumption under capitalism," but this isn't merely lining the pockets of some greedy dev. NFTs are an active blight on the online world, games, creative endeavors, and the environment, all at once. They are tangible damage, evil, and immoral to even have a hand in.
So, y'know, literally worse than the Cenobites. At least they were just trying to show people a good time.

I can see you are passionate about this, but I have no idea why. As you said, there's no ethical capitalism. There are much more serious issues in life to take a stand on than a digital art scam that BHVR has literally no control over.
It's done. Just keep not buying nfts.
