What is an NFT?
An NFT is basically this: A digital receipt saying that you own something digital. In the case of the NFT's with Hellraiser, it's basically the models you see in Dead By Daylight. You know, those same models you can find in folders in the game. So basically it's just a receipt. It has ZERO legal standing. Basically it's just bragging rights so you can say "I own this!" and not be technically lying. (More accurately, you're saying "I paid for this" rather than that you "Own this")
Why is this causing a commotion?
Because NFT's are basically a scam. And on top of that, they require exorbitant amounts of energy usage. I'm talking a LOT of energy usage for just one transaction. To give you an idea in terms of Dead By Daylight: Imagine Otzdarva makes a video. It's a 3 hour video, like most of them are. He makes a WHOLE bunch of them. And you watch them all. (He's very informative.) You watch 5 of them every day for a year. The amount of energy you use watching youtube for all that time, would STILL be less than that used for one ethereum transaction -- which again, is basically to get bragging rights for something with absolutely no legal standing.
Summary
NFT's are pretty much a money-making scheme to get stupid people to buy something worthless, and in turn use a WHOLE LOT of Energy to do so. And BHVR is promoting them.
