BHVR wants to have their cake and eat it too...
As the title says, BHVR wants to have their cake and eat it too. Their pathetic attempt to save face is ghastly and insulting to their fanbase's intelligence. The issue was never that people were worried that DbD would have NFT transactions in game, it was that BHVR was endorsing NFTs in the first place.
This response is honestly reminiscent of when Cote told killer players with valid concerns dealing with the state of the game in 2018 to go play Civilization or play survivor. The response to that was an outcry of anger, leading Cote to give a corporate and cold response, claiming "We hear you". Granted, playing the game got a whole lot better, but at the moment it feels like another cold and corporate lip service message to appease the player-base. Only time will tell if BHVR actually manages to pull themselves together.
