FPS Unlock legit or result in a ban?

Hello DbD Forum!
Can any one tell me like in the Topic said. Is it allowed to unlock the Fps? Because today most ppl are using 144hz Monitors or higher? Any one know if its legit or if its result in a ban ?

    It is legit. I currently run my game at 144fps. It used to be difficult to make it run so, but they updated the game files to make it easier.
