Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

My honest problem with DBD's take on Trickster & Yun-Jin's fashion...

If you guys have seen the alleged leaks of the upcoming Tome and the rift reward skins, you can clearly see that Yun-Jin and the Trickster have really tacky looking clothes... or at least from a Korean fashion standpoint.

My problem is, instead of actually looking into and basing their clothes from ACTUAL popular clothing from Korea, they pander towards the western "take" on popular Korean fashion and stick with that as if, that's why they THINK Korean stars wear. Yun-Jin looks like a waitress for pete's sake.

Maybe it sells more, who knows but it feels pretty annoying to me, someone who's very keen and wary regarding fashion in general.

I had the same feeling for Seoul Sights, but I let that one slide, but this tome outfit is even worse than I imagined.

Does anyone actually see these and go "wow, it really fits their characters" or do they simply like what they "want" to see? Cuz never have I seen any Korean pop stars and their managers wear something so non-Korean as they do here.

These particular outfits don't resemble actual Korean fashion, because they're not meant to.

Their Rift skins are based on Brazilian culture from what I've seen, not Korean.

The Trickster's shirt even has the classic yellow and green hybrid that the flag of Brazil features.

Yes, I know it's based on Brazilian flag/culture, cuz it says so in the description. But my point was that those are clothes Korean stars will NEVER wear.

Not that they're against Brazil or smth, but that's not the fashion sense they strive for, period. It's an East Asian thing.

Maybe American popstars like Katy Perry or Lady Gaga, maybe, but Korean popstar Ji-Woon Hak and Korean producer Yun-Jin Lee? I doubt it.

I'd understand if it was a separate cosmetic collection or smth, but as their lore outfits??? Baffling.

Devs can't slap something on and pretend it's normal when it's not. It's abnormal for any Korean stars to wear smth so flashy as that in 2021 and it's also abnormal for a producer to wear something so tacky too. Just sayin'

I have to agree with you Voodoo, not much in Jiwoon and Yunjin's outfits feel 2021 Korean, they seem to be stuck in the Big Bang era for Jiwoon.

They're skins in a video game. Personally as long as it looks good idc how culturally accurate it is. Maybe in the real world but not in dbd
