Playing in a SWF since last patch 😁.
I know i have said i wouldn't play this game till it's fixed but some friends have asked me to play with them yesterday evening, they were 3 so i have accepted to see how is the new state of the game.
SWF composition : 2 high skilled, 1 average and 1 below average.
Of course we have used the new boon totem perks (2 of us had them both equipped, 2 others had old meta perks).
We have played 10 trials in a row.
So now LISTEN CAREFULLY !
We had 4 escapes in 9 trials out of ten. The 10th trial ended up with 3 escapes.
Every killers never had more than 4 hooks.
We usually had two boon totems on the map, almost half the map was under shadow and healing circle 90% of the time.
I have never been hooked, not even once.
To my mind, game is perfectly balanced and favors killers, it's clear as crystal. <3

and yet still gives an indication that old swf issues + powerful area effects that can be replaced and relocated combined = big power spike

probably if you weren't using instadown addon you could say he's overpowered vs potato survivors that can't deal with moderate antiloop ye
unfortunately requiring a sample size of a few thousand instances and then still trying to find a way to dismiss it is about as weak of a counterargument as it gets even before factoring the insane quantity of variables in this game that change with every match

If you won 10 games in a row with clown against high mmr survivors I'd ask for video proof. Also define win. 2k/2escape? 3k?
All 4 survivors escaping is a blatant survivor win. Everyone knows, well everyone who is capable of objective reasoning, knows this game is survivor sided, and allowing people in comms to setup an area of the map to literally heal for free at double speeds thats away from the area that the killer wants to control is just ridiculously broken.
It takes upwards of 20-30 seconds chase time to injure ONE survivor. That's negated in 16 seconds now by one survivor who didnt bring a medkit nor self care. Pretend thats balanced.

Let’s say I 4k 10 games in a row as clown. I run basic add ons and a normal perk build. It is also in high MMR (even though we can’t tell anyway so it’s irrelevant)
Would clown be OP?

And you don't even need to communicate to say where the blessed area is.
Every survivor can see the totem and once you are inside the area there is a blue/green aura surrounding the environment.
So at start, the 2 survivors equipped with both perks blessed two totems as fast as possible. We then had two big safe area where killer didn't have marks anymore and where we could heal pretty fast, even without self-care.
Moreover, if a survivor is downed in the blessed area, under a pallet for exemple, the killer will never be able to take the survivor. The killer will injure a proxy survivor that will go to heal in 15 seconds ten meters away while another one will be rdy for the pallet save and then, once healed, will come back to help. It's an infinite loop. If the killer goes to the totem, the downed survivor will be put back on his/her feets etc...
Sure it is but we didn't even try hard, trials were really, really simple to win.
Boon totems are way too OP and create some situations were the killer has totally no option. And the area is so big that those who have said "it will take times to reach the area just to heal" are totally wrong. 2 blessed areas cover almost half the map on any map... you do 10 meters and you are inside a blessed zone.
