Don't be afraid to use your power in a chase to mind game a bit.
In addition, when you lean stalk, do not over extend the lean, try to bare minimum the stalk progression to prevent people from revealing you. Also, tend to 99% more people so you can set up nice take downs further in the game

While I play multiple killers, Ghosty is my favorite.
I find that the hit and run strategy is harder to pull off nowadays, especially once healing boon totems are re-enabled.
So, nowadays, my play-style with Ghostface revolves around stalking and insta-downs.

Build: Corrupt Intervention, Thrilling Tremors, Play With Your Food, Rancor
Corrupt scatters survivors early and prevents rushing objectives, allowing me to usually set up a good ambush spot as they ran around.
Thrilling gives me info after each hook, and can delay gens slightly.
Play With Your Food lets me ignore one entire survivor (unless they mess up) and reduces the 1v4 burden on me a bit, while making one-shots on others easier.
Rancor allows me to mori the only survivor I never typically hook, so lessens the amount of hook objectives I need by 2 hooks. Also permanently removes one body blocker if they make it to end-game, making it easier on me to kill others.

Play-style is simple:
Run around, stalk people, and one shot them. Never commit to a chase, and only hit people when they're off guard. Practice finding angles to stalk people and really learn to abuse your stalk range (40 meters) to 99% people before moving in.
If you're really fortunate, the obsession might think you have Save the Best for Last, and try to harass you. This is a regular source of free stacks, and you can hit them freely if they try body blocking you for a free injure.
If you find the obsession after hooking someone or your shroud is down, play with them a bit to remove pallets and get stacks. At that point there will be one person hooked, (at least) one going for the save, and the obsession pre-occupied, so no one is really doing generators. Once you're done playing with the obsession, you should have enough Play With Your Food stacks for another 2-3 quick downs.

This is just what I like to do though, since I hate being looped, and love stalking/playing around with others. If it's not for you, and you prefer being more aggressive or prefer hit and run that's fine, but I don't have too much advice for that since I don't play that way often.

I haven't seen him to be as good as people think. Imo he's pretty low tier. But you can abuse his wonky reveal mechanic, if you are stalking survivors. Most Ghostface players tend to use his night shroud in chases, rather than exposing survivors. You could 99 expose a survivor, and pop it when you get close, for an easy down.

First of all, do not be afraid to use its power when stalking, if they reveal you, you have 24 seconds of coldwoon and the most important thing is that you have that survivor marked.
Another tip that I recommend is that you use the environment to your advantage, put offerings of closed maps and perks of auras to catch unsuspecting survivors from different points, make them not easily see you so they do not run away.
