Why survivor mains are crying all the time ?

I understood it playing soloQ, because they are bad at the game and think it's because killers are OP. They have been baby sited so much for years that even with 3k hours they still don't know the basics of the game mechanics.

  • they stick together on the same gen instead of spreading on the map
  • they don't "stick" to the wall while looping, they loose ton of time as they don't know how to loop (with 3k hours)
  • they drop all pallets without thinking there way when looping
  • they go down in 20 seconds top in every chases
  • they cannot sustain themselves
  • they don't do gen

And then they cry because they loose every trials... Guys, guys, you have 3k hours and most of you are playing as me when i had 200 hours... no wonder why you loose.

Do you know those simple tips, you don't even need to be good :

  • at start, spread on the map to get 3 surv on different gens and 1 in chase
  • equip kindred
  • prefers windows to pallet to avoid the waste, if needed, pre drop one pallet from time to time
  • hold W after a hit

Just doing this will give you at least 60% 3 escapes.

There are some valid points when killers say the game is survivor sided if all 5 players have a good level.

But survivors crying is unjustified, clearly. Some killers are really strong in 1v1 and i think it's a bad design but no matter what, if the survivors sit on gens, they will win.

The killer can be top 0,1%, if after 5 minutes only 1 gen has popped, it means there are useless survivors in the team, that's not normal.

I actually have no clue why Survivors can complain at all anymore. The game is so easy, I have a harder time playing Pokemon Blue than Dead by Daylight. Killer makes 1 mistake and you have a dozen or more ways to punish them for it. You make 1 mistake and you have a dozen or more ways to make up for it.

Stop crying, you're already being swaddled.

the only thing i complain about when playing survivor is other survivors and their potato-ry

and i routinely get facecamped/tunneled for being a huge cutie and running the killer for 2 minutes with only one pallet

I would say the problem is with mono survivors, not the main ones. Everyone should play both sides to undestand the game better.

Your statements are very well put and often forgotten too, I'd also like to add:

    • if the killer saw you coming for the unhook, get the hell outta there, it's not really camping if he has info... and don't loop near the hook as you would be facilitating his job in harrassing several people at one time.
    • if you don't have any hook stages and your team has some people that are on death hook, stop playing stealth because people are your greatest asset... when someone dies, the chances of everyone dying increases hugely. Protect the vulnerable, get the killer's attention off them, take a protection hit, maybe you would learn how to loop better if you do this occasionally.
    • pay attention on who is being chased to know the proper time of going for the save, finish gens, etc. Also pay attention on your hooked teammates timer, to know how much time you have to save before struggle/death.
    • read the description of perks, powers and addons to understand what they do and realise it when they come in play.

Agree. The huge problem on the survivor side is the broken SBMM. It doesn't work at all as players are never evaluate depending their individual skill level.

1 potato in the team and it's a guaranteed loss.

The only think I will say in defense of survivors sticking on one gen is that the event is forcing them to in order to get bloodpoints. If they dont finish the gen they get nothing - even with the offering.

Am I maybe taking advantage and prioritizing orange gens when patrolling? Maybe... But I'm playing extra nice/fair because I know how badly survivors get screwed every event...

Your response is proof that both have excuses and cry same time. U can't just blame one side without mentioning another.

I play both sides, playing more survivors than killer and i know the game is deeply survivor sided...

The survivors are crying? I'M CRYING! As a Pyramid Head Main, I get my ass kicked so many times. They bait my power and taunt me, perform all these techs which I do catch but still jeez, and only on a good day do I get a kill. Even face camping fails on me.

Then again maybe I'm just bad, but I've reached Rank 3. The problem is I don't have access to a lot of the good DLC perks because I only bought the Silent Hill one.

No survivor cries when they play against me, it's like an instant win for them.

I don't know why survivors do or don't "all bullet points above", but I am going to say if the survivors were perfect -- the game won't be fun.

I remember I really enjoyed playing Mortal Kombat 11, while I am, new and old players learned new mechanics and did mistakes, so I had a chance to win.

After some time, many players have left and the ones who stayed learned all deadly combos by heart, with perfect timing (or macros).

So you load into the match and get your ass kicked in the same way, over and over again. So, I stopped playing Mortal Kombat. It was not fun for me anymore. Same thing over and over again. Same god Trickster... oh, sorry, Joker combo match after match.

In DBD if you play a perfect match as a survivor -- you just win with 4 escapes, leaving killer in the dust.

How fun is that for the killers? How fun is that for survivors, always win and win and win?

    What would playstyle look like?

As a survivor, you spread on the gens and hold m1.

As a killer, you just find and camp one survivor to secure at least one kill.

Repeat over and over again... This is a nightmare of boredom.

"Just doing this will give you at least 60% 3 escapes."

    This makes Killer sad....

A killer vs survivor post. How fun

Thats a 4 slowdown build, a specific map, and one specific Top 4 Killer.... as win "most likely".

Thats not much of a margin....

Yeah but I’m just saying that it’s not always an automatic win for survivors. Even without slowdown every killer is viable. I’ve been able to snowball with my best killers and win without slowdown. Some maps like Mother’s Dwelling are too big and need adjusting but I think the myth that the game is heavily in the survivors favor isn’t true.

There is no complaint in the post lol.

And i didn't know that the profile picture was telling anything on what side i'm playing.

I'm just a Silent Hill fan. And i have way more hours as a survivor. Like 80%.

It all comes down to an entitlement to win, both sides have it. And when something goes wrong, they break out the excuses and avoid personal responsibility like that the plague.

"Yeah but I’m just saying that it’s not always an automatic win for survivors."

    Where has anyone said otherwise?

This has always been about probability/likelihood of outcome as well as statistical data on factual outcomes.

I dont get why some people do this, that they present their arguments in contra as if someone else had actually stated an absolute like that.

Both sides of mains whine entirely too much, whining period has ruined so many perks and game because of lack of skill on both sides. so people expect the devs to change the game to how they want it to make up for it. basically, learn how to play better or for gods sake uninstall. stop trying to ruin a game that was good before you got here.

All I see is killer mains crying on this forum and reddit and the occasional crying from survivors about getting facecamped/tunnelled

  • ThiccBudhha
    ThiccBudhha Member Posts: 6,987

Occasional? Apparently you do not face camp often. They complain about it basically whenever they are on the same platform as me, lol.

There are some facts you can't argue about.

In tournaments the only viable killer is the nurse, every other killers are unable to keep up, at least before some of the last patch buffs. Those are facts.

Streamers have shown how unbalanced is the game when a killer is facing a SWF.

And good survivors matched together will outplay the killer.

And as a old survivor main, the game has never been so easy honestly...

Last year i came back after 1 year out of DbD. I was rank 20. Reached my friends to play in SWF. I have played exclusively in SWF till rank 1. I had escaped all the trials from rand 20 to rank 1. It might be 30 or 40 escapes in a row.

In soloQ the experience is different but i'm rarely the weak link... If i'm not in chase i'm always doing a gen or a save, smartly (gen position for exemple) and in chase, 90% of the time i'm the only one able to hold the killer long enough. But the survivor i'm matched with are often bad... so we all die because of their dumb mistakes.

The new META for survivors is running around injured. That's what the SBMM brought to the game. The soloQers without kindred and without anything to heal themselves. They loose so much time to find someone to be healed etc... it's boring.

This community should start to learn how to play and stop to think they are good players just because they have 4k hours.
