Just a bit of a rant, I guess

Long post, so for those who don't want to read I'll just preface with saying I think BHVR can do better. Anyway...

Personally, I've been feeling at odds with DBD and BHVR for a long time now. I've seen bugs after bugs along with seemingly empty promises since I started playing back in 2018. I've played through those issues and certainly had my highs and my lows. At my highest, I went and bought every killer and most survivors with no regret. Currently at my lowest, which I just can't seem to get out of it like I have before, I decided to uninstall until this game becomes something worth my time - but will it ever get to that point? Especially for us last-gen console players?

Where's the console optimization we were supposed to look forward to? Where's that change to how we begin trials? Why wasn't everyone at BHVR aware of the NFT situation before it was announced? I don't think I've ever opened a comment section on any of DBD's social media pages without seeing multiple complaints about the multitude of issues in this game and while I don't like using anecdotal evidence, I think that says something.

It seems like we constantly face new issues, however big or small, while they pump out more charms, cosmetics, throw out BP codes, etc.... Don't get me wrong, I applaud those who work hard to create new content in game and I think they're awesome at what they do; however, it feels like a slap in the face as a consumer that they would constantly advertise the positive while leaving us hanging on some of the topics I mentioned before, or just not even acknowledging the bad. I'm well aware of the fact that there are different teams within BHVR that work on different things, and part of what I'm trying to say is that I *think* those who do an awesome job with those charms and cosmetics as well as many others within the company deserve better than BHVR just like we do. But of course I don't actually know what it's like to work for BHVR, so I have to make an emphasis on the word "think" - I truly *hope* that I'm wrong and they're actually happy people who love their jobs. I'd be very glad to find out and admit that what I suspect is wrong.

I'm not claiming to know more than those who work on this game, because I fully admit that I don't. Just like I don't know what goes into making a good or a bad car, but I can still recognize one from the other based on the product. I just wish they would talk to us: tell us where things are at, whether or not we should still be hopeful for console optimization, a start game collapse (or whatever it's supposed to be called) - simply communicate with us more and I feel that many people in the community would be much more forgiving or at least much more understanding of the issues we face in this game.

Bottom line - I think BHVR can do better, I'm just losing faith that they will.

even if in an rts the army control is flopping hard, the workers getting resources and constructing buildings/unit production and such are a separate force involved entirely, and someone's macro might be so ridiculously on point that they win the match anyway

spamming out cosmetics and whatnot + marketing probably isn't the same people but definitely isn't the same mentality at hand as the game design

Right? I am trying to be patient, but seriously, the loading bug actually makes me stressed out at the thought of opening the game and potentially wasting a lot of time just because I cannot play even though I would like to.
