Do you actually like horror?
As we all know, DBD is not actually that scary except for a few situations. It may be a little scary at first but as soon as you play your 8-10th game you get used to it.
So I wanna know, do you people actually like horror stuff?
I personally can’t handle it and hate it. I don’t even touch scary movies, I’d rather watch something more funny and entertaining than just forcing myself to be nervous and tense for 2 hours. It’s not for me.

I don’t like horror personally, I do not like the feeling of constantly looking over my shoulder, not knowing what might show up to maul me to death.
However, I be dammed if I don’t respect the type of atmosphere that can come out of Horror games, the closest i’ve been to playing a horror game was Metroid Dread, and the E.M.M.I’s were absolutely terrifying, I loved the atmosphere, the tension and the pay off of blowing their heads off and getting a power for my efforts
it wore off after I got the Phantom Cloak and was able to sneak past them safely, and it especially wore off after dying to the purple one 20 times because it always knew where I was, but I still loved the early game E.M.M.I encounters with all my heart

I'm obsessed with older horror films such as Halloween, Alien, Scream and the likes. I find them much more enjoyable and often scarier than more modern horror films, with some exceptions here and there. But generally I think old horror is the ######### :ok_hand:

I'm a fan of both modern and classic horror movies and I like playing horror games, so yes.

I survived Outlast. I love Halloween. My favorite game franchise is Resident Evil. I love horror.

If it has real tension, like Alien, yes. If it relies on anxiety and jumpscares - well, it's not real horror at that point.

I only like slasher horror movies.

Yes. Big horror fan. I love all kinds. Slashers, paranormal, monster movies etc.

Its my favorite genre by a pretty tremendous margin. Only if it is done well however, and there is a lot of bad horror.

I wouldn't be here if I didn't. As a kid, I loved being scared and wish it could happen again. I miss the sensation, but I feel like it only happens when you are younger unfortunately.

That's... why I'm here. :D

No. I'll be perfectly honest the fact I like DBD is an anomaly, almost every single bit of it should tell me "you by all means should absolutely hate this game" but instead I like it.

Love hate relationship. It's like having a partner that you love dearly but they make you fear for your life sometimes

I love psychological horror, and anything that links to it. Not a fan of torture porn or excessive gore, because it often feels unimaginative and boring (often because of terrible character development is replaced by how many gallons of blood needs to be shed), but any horror that focuses on fears and despair intrigues me an awful lot.
Stuff like Jacob's Ladder, Alien, Session 9, The Mist, Se7en, The Thing, The Blair Witch Project, and even movies which have minimal horror but still psychological like 24 Hour Photo, Watership Down (yes, that has a small bit of horror, especially for people with a fear of claustrophobia) or Eternal Sunshine Of A Spotless Mind still entice more than Hostel and co.

Yes I do.

I love it in all its forms :)
Even anime I tend to watch the majority of the psychological/horror tags!
Books, comics, movies, games I honestly really love it all.
I particularly like some of the amazing foreign horror movies we’ve had like The Wailing, Impetigore and Sputnik <3

I don’t think anyone enjoys genuinely feeling scared and having to look over their shoulder; but these are things like games and movies so the appeal is similar to rollercoasters/bungee jumping, as in you can feel the emotions while knowing deep down that you’re safe.
Im terrified of heights but absolutely love rollercoasters no matter how crazy they are; though I would be less eager to jump off a bridge with some elastic tied to my feet ;)

I guess, but for me it’s even worse due to my fear of the unknown, I like being the guy who knows what will and what might happen and being prepared for any outcome, and when a game basically gives me nothing but a shirt to wear and a flashlight, points me to a giant maze that has no lights, and tells me “reach the end, oh, and by the way something might attack you, you’ll know it when you hear it” I immediately start panicking and will probably put the game down and not play it again

A rubbish horror film is still a good film in my opinion

Love horror, grew up on it. Love everything from the old black and white movies/tv to current horror. Also love horror books/comics. Older sister and dad loved horror so I was watching horror at a pretty young age.

No, I'm a coward when it comes to horror.
I can't watch or play anything scary without turning into a big baby honestly.
What I really enjoy a lot is comedy, and fortunately many B-rated horror movies and DBD fall into that category so I'm not entirely horror-deprived.

Yes I do.

I love everything about the horror genre, I grew up with it, and now I stay with it. From movies like Halloween, Return Of The Living Dead, IT, Nightmare On Elm Street, etc. And games like Left 4 Dead 2, Dead By Daylight, etc. I absolutely love this genre.

I'm a fan of horror, but not gore.
I really appreciate that DBD toes the line between macabre and gore.
I think DBD is a scary experience but not a game. it praises horror as a game, but it stops being scary as soon as the killer starts camping.
