Maps
One of the biggest problems i have with this game is the uninspired and sometimes just lazily thrown together maps.
Besides a small handful they are all just the same thing with maybe 1 different element to it. Most recently the map that came with the Clown that seems thrown together at the last minute.( I was hoping to see a carnival/amusement park or something other than a small building in the woods)
Maps are a big part of games like this one that sets the mood for players and i feel the effort and design is really lacking.
what do you guys think.

I can only think that the design time got actually super busy on the new skins and character design, and didn't have time to actually make a full circus map.

Honestly, anything from Haddonfield onwards maps are really varied (except for Badham that borrows assets from it, but the school is the main point of the map). Honorable mention for Lery's and Meat Plant.
Then we have the original realms, which have the most maps. Maps inside the sane realms HAVE to look similar, but not exactly the same. This is what happens with them honestly. The layout of, for instance, MacMillan Estate changes so much, mostly affecting how you play.
As for the new Chapel map, the deal with the Clown's maps is that "it will visit other realms as well", meaning other realms with a single map will also get circus stuff with another variation of their map. Not the best and usual approach, but they are killing two birds with one stone. Old areas will get more variation and the Clown gets several maps.0 -
Nah some of them are pretty unique. Just look at the newish silent hill map. None of the previous maps are that similar to it.
