Whats up with flashlights?

Like legit, I pick up a survivor and right as the animation is about to end all of a sudden another survivor tried to go for the save but I look away before theres even a flash of light on my PoV and suddenly my screen fills with the flaslight blind effect even though I looked away in time. Like is it latency or what? I really hope they fix it sort of how they did with dead hard and pallets as good god its annoying.

Nah, they are just designed that way. You need to already be facing a wall and even then, they can sometimes still stun you.

I don't think they're working properly. I've been blinded in the back or side of my head (nowhere near the blind spot) before. One time I was playing Trickster and I was walking away from a flashlight only to see my screen begin to fill up even though I was fully turned away from them and walking away. The Survivor knew it was happening because they didn't let go of the button. The blind effect stopped filling up after a few seconds, but that really caught me off guard because I thought it was supposed to be impossible to flashlight a Killer from behind. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get as close as possible to a wall but you'd still get blinded even though you're utilizing one of the counters to flashlights.

They'll somehow blind me when I'm looking up or down to avoid the blind. This happens too much.

It's important to note that flashlights are one of the few things that register from the survivor point of view - so if they register a blind on you from their perspective, you will get blinded, even if it doesn't look like it should blind you from your perspective.

    Likewise, latency could be involved.

As a survivor main I hate flash lights 100% I wouldnt mind them gone and wish they improve flash bang more, I hate having to find a damn locker to make a flash bang, why cant we just hit X like how jill can with her blast mines ugh. Flash bangs seem buggy how many a time it pop killer blind but either they still chasing you or when you try saving someone and it pops killer blind yet the survivor was not dropped. I am aware though that there is a perk that blocks flash light and flash bangs though so idk.
