New chapter PTB upcoming. Is it too soon?
Now im not sure if everybody on the forums knows this yet, but we've gotten some teasers for chapter 22. This likely means the PTB will be coming some time next week, which to me is a bit of a scary though. The hellraiser chapter released barely more than a month ago, and mikaelas chapter isn't even a month old yet. We've had incredibly recent content additions to the game, and yet suddenly we are being told even more content is coming? Forgive me for being a bit of a downer but this is incredibly frustrating to me, and communicates a major lack of polish. The amount of times we've called killers underbaked because they were rushed for release (Legion, Ghostface, Blight, Etc.) is staggering. This new killer may be another amazing example of that, rushed way too soon after incredibly recent content when they could've spent more time baking in the oven. I worry that we will get another underwhelming chapter because BHVR feels the need to spam the game with new content, what do you guys think? I Hope i am not alone in this thinking.

I think it's a wonderful thing to have plenty of content in the game

Hellraisers release was almost 2 months ago.
We didn't get more content then usual. The only difference is that the survivor came a month and half later then the killer.
We still got the usual killer and survivor every 3 months

They work on multiple chapters at a time and generally start on one 9 months to a year in advance. The idea of these chapters being "rushed" is just the thinking of people who don't know much about the process. I was also at one point like that until someone educated me on how this stuff actually works. So right now, they'd be working on Chapter(s) 22 (finishing that up), 23, 24, maybe 25, and in a couple weeks are going to maybe start on 26, if not then by Spring they will have.

I think the PTB's announcement is either to help build hype or to start concept work soon and get immediate feedback on an idea that'll be considered controversial.

I'm worried as have been experiencing performance issues on console sine the Nemesis DLC; and while they might fix 1 or 2 things, the new content keeps adding many more on top.
Things are still really bad with no word on when there might be another attempt to fix the issues, and even if the next chapter brings fixes it will certainly bring more issues if we go by the last few years of content being added.
Its usually around events too so we miss out or play a broken game; theres been an Anniversary, Bloodhunt and this Halloween that have been freezing etc in varying degrees of severity.

The only rushed thing is the QA processes and at this point.. they should really slow down on new content and give QA more time and resources. since A Binding Of Kin it’s obvious the bugs and performance issues are getting out of hand.
I mean, I am usually a big fan of their contents and I am always asking for more licenses and appreciate the original characters. But it feels like too much stuff is broken and while they work on the worst stuff directly.. it’s always something..

I'd much rather them focus on the mechanics of the game and balancing and optimization.. but that doesn't make money so..

Yes. All Chapters should be pushed back until the game is fixed. We have bugs from 2018 still in the game.
That's unacceptable and it isn't even mentioning Console DBD.
