    No.

And when playing survivor, i have noticed a huge skill decrease in the killer population. So from what i can see, it's obvious that the majority of high skilled killers have stopped playing and SBMM working as it is matches my high MMR survivor against lower MMR killers as there are less and less high MMR killers playing.

Dunno if my experience is shared among the whole high skilled EU community. Last good killers i have played against were True and a well known french streamer, both lost the trial...

I don't know about french guy, but Tru3 with all his complains about MMR is playing more for fun rather for 4K. If u mute him and watch his game. He is not perfect and don't sweat to win. He is trying to make his games entertaining but problem is his auditory is so huge Ego boys that he has to talk about MMR over and over.

Ye he didn't camp nor tunnel that game but he has played perfectly in chases and map pressure, still he couldn't win.

With camping/tunneling it would have been different but not being able to win when you play perfectly without using broken mechanics is a big flaw in the DbD design.

Agree that being killer isn't fun anymore.

I haven't played the game since last Thursday. I had just had surgery the day before and was still really tired from the anesthesia.

I chose to play killer so that I wouldn't have anyone relying on me the condition I was in and I didn't plan to take the matches seriously as killer. Just playing for fun.

I was bronze and kept getting 4 man iridescent teams. There is no longer any fun to be had in matches with iridescent players (based on my experience).

Before the update, people would have fun when given the indicators that I wasn't there to win. None of the indicators worked in these last matches I played, they simply didn't care to let me farm too.

In each match the gameplay was very similar. The first 3 gens popped super fast, then they would come find me. I would be flashlight spammed and body blocked when in chase, and they would essentially take turns trying to run me for then BP then take off. They popped the last gens then pallet spam if one was near the exit, then they stand at the gate until the last second ran out.

I purposely never hit anyone in any of these matches but in each match they were all playing as if had been a toxic killer.

In my 5th attempt at a fun match, I dc'd.

I haven't played again since. The game just feels so unbalanced for the first time since EGC. It just isn't fun anymore. Playing solo survivor like I do isn't much better either tbh.

Yes. Having lots of fun now as insidious Bubba.

Lots of camping hooked survivors or even waiting by an exit gate (my favourite). Gens all get rushed in no time now anyway, so you don't have to wait it out at a gate long to surprise some poor survivor and face camp them. Add some NOED for extra spice.

I sincerely recommend the exit gate strategy.

I'm rank 1 both killer an survivor and i can tell you that since the MMR update this game is not fun anymore (don't even get me started on boons).

Playing a survivor? Prepare to get camped/tunnel from the very beggining.

Playing as killer? If you don't use the meta killers/perks just prepare to lose the game in 5 mins (if you dont camp/tunel).

It's really not fun every match having to run the same perks (both killers and survivors) or play just like 3 killers out of 25 because they are the only ones that can do anything in the game right now.

no, i am not having fun. My killer mmr is too high for my real skill and my survivor mmr is too low. They totally got it backwards for me.

    Im not.

MMR + Circle of healing is making the game sweaty / exhausting to play as killer. MMR killed COD for me ( this year will be the first cod I havent bought since MW)

Now I login, do my daily out of habit and go play something else. Steam used to show I would play 50 hours in 2 weeks average, its down to 3 now

By the time I am looping someone else, the other person has healed themselves, and they can do it over and over. How isnt there a limit of how many can be used?

    I cant WAIT for vhs.

Even dowsey doesnt seem to be having fun anymore, hes playing other games

Killer main for 3 years always rank 1 or 2. Truthfully since the Hellraiser chapter and the last update i find myself playing less and less. I find that something changed too much in favor of survivors and I’m actually not having fun as killer at all. Not sure if these new survivor totems are giving too much of an advantage or not, but no way should the devs be adding more for a killer to do during the match.

    I'm still having fun.

As long as you have realistic expectations of how a match should go killer is a blast

  • gammatsunami
    gammatsunami Member Posts: 545

True, dont expect to get kills as killer. Go in to enhance survivor fun.

See expecting zero kills also isn't exactly realistic

Had a fun game as Oni on RPD last night, against a swf team with 2 flashlights aswell. Gotta love it when they get cocky against the king of snowballing.

Its been more fun lately, moreso than a few months ago.

Fun? To be completly honest with you, No.

Before MMR it was at least kind of a gamble wether you get a fun game or not. Now it's just consistently bad.

I only play killer for rift challenges now.

I think many others besides myself are fine with 0-1 kills if it were a really well fought match on both sides.

Fun? God no, I'm at self harm imminent in the first 30 seconds.

I’m having an absolute blast playing killer - sometimes I kill dinosaurs, sometimes it’s evil robots, more recently I’ve been killing zombies!

Ooooooh, did you mean dbd?! My wife plays survivor - fun to watch - and I visit the forums sometimes. That’s about the extent of it for me since MMR!

You can not have fun in a game thats trying to be COD with SDMM, if you want this make a rank mode. The game has become a boring rinse reapet game, gameplay = stale - Run same perks and add ons other wise games pointless.

######### it and ######### em afk. Grab a drink take a ######### put a show on for a sec.

I mean it when I say stop caring. If your not having fun hit concede and wait out the match. The survivors won. Gg. Move on to the next.

I experience round after round of killers camping and tunneling even if still 4-5 gens need to be finished.

The utter manifestation of pure boredom, watching a patch of wet paint dry is more entertaining than that crap.

No idea what all this killer whining about how hard they have it in the game is really about.

Same here. I play both sides and killer has been way more miserable since SBMM came out and survivor has been way easier

Killer becomes fun when you stop worrying about the kills and start worrying about personal improvement on the killer you're playing. For instance I've been grinding Billy, and I've been having so much fun looking back at my old clips compared to now and seeing how much I've improved. The kills will come when the skill comes. It's fun to get better imo

Listen, that is good and all, but not caring is hurting the game. If you do not care about the state of the game, then you don't give feedback because you don't care. If you don't give feedback because you don't care, the devs will make decisions that might not be good for the longevity of the game, like the mmr system. This system is absolutely atrocious.

The DEVs don't listen to straight feedback, it's through one hell of a filter that ends up with wise decisions like "Let's nerf Hill Billy" for example, even though he was performing "As expected" and "In a great position".... BUT!

I am not saying to tell everyone to get bent, but you could ignore 90% of what goes on in DBD and the forums, and be about 100% happier. Only 10% of it actually has any impact and matters.

And to actually answers OPs question "Are Killers Having Fun Anymore?"

    Not unless you want to

When they enable Mouse and Keyboard on Console I will play a lot more killer :)

As of right now, no. It's genrush, swarm hooks with BT, flashlight clicking, genrush, teabagging, getting blinded with flashlights (even while just walking), genrush, Dead Hard validation, and body blocking teams. Oh yeah, did I mention genrush?

I was just curious to see how much fun killers were having lately after these past few updates. Like I said I saw a lot of killer content creators move over to survivor for various reasons. MMR, Unbalanced/unfair perks, and an abundance of hackers. I play both but am mainly a survivor main but after seeing so many killer mains saying how unfun it is lately i just wanted to ask people here if they were having fun or was it just streamers getting mad.

You get slow ques because a lot of survivors don't make it to high mmr unless they are hacking or are playing back to back in a swf. Solo survivors die more often (even earning pips and having longer games so it still feels like a win for most), so they stay in the mid/low range of elo.

Also the mmr is going to do it's best to place you against 1-3 survivors that are close to your mmr, or lower and 1-3 survivors that are close to your mmr or higher, so when in mid elo you are going to kill at least 1-2 survivors increasing your elo. It's not easy to go down in mmr as Killer. It's easy to go down in mmr as Survivor.

So the longer wait time as Killer is because it takes time to check each distance and elo bracket before you find a match. Not because there is a lot of killer players.
