Realm Beyond: When can we expect the Next-Gen Enhancements to launch?
I mean 120 FPS, Ray Tracing, haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D audio. The devs indicated sometime after the PS5/XSX launch in 2020; they intended to expand on advanced visuals for the next-gen (now current-gen) consoles and PC next year. Is it still happening? And what happened to the other features of Realm Beyond? Is it dead for 2021?

That's good, I would love to see that too.

I wish.
sadly I don’t expect any of this anytime soon.
they kinda slowed down on the Realm Beyond Update and they also said this year would focus on advanced settings but well. Everything feels paused because they can’t keep up with QA, bugs, performance issues etc and pumping out new character chapters.

Oh yeah I will also keep asking for this :) as well as for further accessibility settings etc.
i am currently just not so optimistic with the state of the game and BHVR in general (NFTs, game balance, performance, QA…). Hopefully they will surprise us though.

Not until they fix the systems that most people play on.
The majority use Xbox One/PS4 to play DBD. I certainly can't afford a $1000 console, even if I could find one in stock.

This!
They've taken our money for years and not delivered on promises like this:
Its way too soon to be making new promises for next gen upgrades when they've left us on last gen festering all this time.
At least give us a stable 30FPS, Hell even just any stable FPS would be a massive improvement!
We should also pour one out for the Switch players as that port is criminal to sell for money.

Let's be real, we'll never see any optimization. Or at best we'll see a few token changes. Hell, it took them two years to create the laughable mmr they gave us.

at some point I wonder if all these bugs are gonna happen on next gen??
1 -
They will in time, yes.
We know these bugs have nothing to do with the power of the console's. That means they are issues with the game itself. It stands to reason that PC's and next-gen are brute forcing their way through these issues.
However, we also know that these things get exponentially worse over time. One need only look at the myriad of performance issues that recur seemingly every patch. This means that as more is added into the game, the load will continue to increase. This means that eventually, if nothing is done, even next-gen will be doomed.
I predict that we will see the Switch fall first, likely within the next year. Then I expect the base Xbox One/PS4 to see Resident Evil esque performance issues on a regular basis. Then we will start to see the issues we observed in 2017 on Xbox One/PS4 on the Series X and PS5 within the next 2-3 years.
Of course, this all assumes nothing is fixed.

They should get to the ps4 standard before trying to go on the ps5 standard

Yeah, the Switch players got ######### tbh

The new consoles at base retail are 500$ and 600$ for the best version. Scalpers are not to be paid

Here.
Forgot that Walmart isn't a reliable retailer.
Consoles are out of stock and are nearly 1000 dollars.

Yeah like i said. Scalpers are not to be paid. Walmart sells the product for the people who own them they do the same with PC'S. 500$ for a fake computer

Cool, doesn't change that they are 1000 from most retailers and they are completely out of stock,

Priority should be stable 60fps on ALL plattforms first, as they promised years ago.
A graphic/performance mode could help on consoles as we have no quality settings.

Are we talking about optimization in here? But thats illegal

A lot of fair points, I agree with most of them. I do not favor leaving any platforms behind, including Switch, and I agree the devs need to resolve those issues. However, with some other titles, the team that works on fixes/bugs isn't the same as the enhancements team. So it's possible that the team behind Realm Beyond isn't the same as the fixing team. I'm mostly interested in them completing the last realms but the current-gen enhancements would be cool too.

Got mine at retail price from Walmart drops just gotta wait

From today. It's gone up.

Those aren't official, those are people selling through Walmart (scalpers)

Those are literally the only one's available.
I have a friend who works at Target. He says they don't get told when new Console's come in. They just show up sometimes.
Microsoft even said they expect the shortage to last well into 2022. It is not feasible for people to either pay $1000 for a new Console or camp out in Walmart waiting for a shipment to arrive.
