Born into a family of well renowned doctors in Dublin Ireland, Norman O'Hara spent much of his childhood in hospitals and around the sick. When he turned 25, he became a hematologist and spent his young adulthood trying to cure bloodborne diseases.
Ultimately however, he would contract a mysterious disease that would end his old life.
He spent years trying to find a cure to his condition, fighting off the unnatural urges that manifested themselves, specifically a thirst for blood. He kept searching, leaving the realm of modern medicine, and explored more archaic forms of treatment, but found nothing.
After years of fruitless study, Norman could suppress his urges no longer, and in a blind frenzy, attacked and killed his wife and sons, leaving only shriveled husks.
When Norman returned to his senses, he fell to his knees and cried out in anguish. He just murdered his family, and as he held his dead wife in his arms, his tears flowed freely.
Whatever remained of Norman's humanity had also died with his family when he attacked them. He discovered that there were certain things his "disease" allowed him to do. He was faster, stronger, more agile, and he could see in the dark as if it were a cloudy day.
But this also meant that he could no longer walk in the light of the sun. Something he learned one day when a stray beam of sunlight touched his hand. Norman had yelled in pain, and the spot the light touched had been burned.
After he tasted human blood for the first time, Norman equated it to be like a drug. It was addictive, sweet. And he wanted more.
The killings would go on for years, with his victims left shriveled and wasted away, much like his wife and children. On one night, Norman had invaded a family's home, but he was suddenly enveloped by a Black Fog and taken somewhere else.
Somewhere otherworldly.
The Vampire's power is: Blood Hunt
The thirst for blood drives you to hunt for more.
Pressing the Power Button hightens The Vampire's senses for as long as the Power Button is held, triggering Killer Instinct on all Suvivors within a 10 meter radius for 5 seconds, and increasing The Vampire's movement speed to 4.7 m/s. The Vampire also gains certain powers when Blood Hunt is activated.
Special Attack: Sanguine Claws.
The Vampire's disease has afforded him supernatural powers. This is one of them.
Pressing the Attack button while Blood Hunt is active imbues your Basic Attack with sharpened claws made from crystallized blood. Hitting a Survivor with Sanguine Claws afflicts them with the Hemorrhage status effect until they are healed.
Special Ability: Sanguine Stakes.
Use blood to shed blood.
Pressing the Ability Button while Blood Hunt is active conjures Sanguine Stakes that erupt in a large cone in front of The Vampire. Any Survivors hit by Sanguine Stakes are afflicted with the Hindered status effect for 15 seconds and the Hemorrhage status effect until they're healed.
The Vampire comes with three new perks.
Relish the hunt with: Sanguine Feast
The kill never mattered to you. The spilling of blood does.
After injuring a Survivor, Sanguine Feast activates, afflicting the injured Survivor with the Incapacitated status effect for 12/15/18 seconds.
Sanguine Feast has a cooldown of 21/18/15 seconds.
"The sweet sanguine nectar. I need more of it. Give it to me."-Norman O'Hara.
The powers of the night are at your control with: Hex: Bloodmoon.
A Hex that gains strength when blood is spilt.
After hitting a Survivor with a Basic attack, Hex: Bloodmoon activates.
Survivors affected by Hex: Bloodmoon will suffer immense pain, increasing the effort it takes to fix Generators, perform Healing actions and cleanse Totems, and grunts of pain are 30/40/50% louder while the related Hex Totem remains.
"The bloodmoon shines brightly tonight. I will enjoy your pain, before I feast upon you."-Norman O'Hara.
Outwit and conquer your opposition with: Supernatural Cunning.
Unlike other beasts of the Fog, you show great intelligence.
Press the Action button when near an undropped pallet to slam it down on a Survivor, injuring them and instantly breaking the pallet. Survivors who are hit by the pallet are concussed and afflicted with the Hindered and Blindness status effects for 10/15/20 seconds.
Supernatural Cunning has a cooldown of 80/70/60 seconds.
Supernatural Cunning triggers immediately after a Survivor would pallet stun the Killer. Using Supernatural Cunning this way incurs a cooldown of 90/80/70 seconds.
"Gullible fool. I'm no mindless beast that falls for such an obvious ploy. Allow me to punish you for it."-Norman O'Hara.
