Chapter 22 Theories
Next tuesday we are having a PTB which I'm so excited for right now, but there is something weird about this chapter but I wanna theorize it.
First of all it could be original but some people are debunking that it can be a licensed chapter known as The Conjuring. BUT! high chances are, it's a licensed chapter.
That's of all my theories about this chapter, but what do you think what chapter it could be? Licensed? Original? I'll let you theorize that.

It will be definitely an original chapter. The hints about C. Mora and the museum website etc pretty much confirm this.
people were just theorizing it might be licensed because devs said there won’t be any original maps coming any time soon. But that was quite some time ago and we don’t even really know if next chapter will have a map or not.

Murder of crows?
the question really becomes if ‘the artist’ is a survivor or a killer. What would be interesting is if that first painting is really a stylized tower perhaps relating to a ‘library’ of sorts. The rest of the paintings could be nature scenes from around the area that have been twisted by the presence of some entity.

They mentioned in the anniversary stream that 2 new maps were coming in this year's roadmap (RPD included).
Perhaps we will receive a new map for this next original chapter in compensation for Hawkins being removed considering this chapter is coming after the stranger things removal.

I can't find where I read about it, but I'm pretty sure they said there was gonna be two licenced and two original chapters.

Focusing on Ch.22, there's a few things we know for sure.
Firstly, it's an original Chapter. Licensed Chapters have much less cryptic teasers, and their trailers are almost always clear (see SAW, Hellraiser and RE teasers). Not only that, but this chapter is also heavily entrenched within DBD's lore: if you go into the code and use the number values provided by the website's error messages, you get a few anagrams that (when combined) spell out The Black Vale, a cult of the Entity and DBD OC.
Secondly, we know a few specifics about this Chapter. The teasers repeatedly mention birds or bird-like things, so its likely thats a theme the Killer is involved with. It's also likely that not only is C. Mora the Killer (they disappeared in the 70's, all our Survivors are from the present) but they're female (according to gendered nouns/words in the French translation). Finally, the Chile connection- I struggle to find exactly how significant this is besides Mora's country of origin, but there are some folk tales of haunted towns (like in the coords found on the website) or warlocks doing dark things.
Final guess? A female Killer involved with birds of some kind, either a member of the Black Vale or another victim like the Twins. No clue on the Survivor or their backstory.

In the website's code, this picture has the full "The Black Vale" anagram. My theory is confirmed.

It’s also a pretty sweet picture. 👍

It's definitely original. And my guess is that the new killer and possibly even survivor is that they'll be related to a cult that worships the entity. We need another lore heavy chapter and not another all kill lol

The killer is Dark Yun-Jin with a crow arm.
