I very much so doubt it. DbD is currently at #11 on the Steam most played list, and #11 on the Xbox most played list. Safe to say it is pretty high on most played for both Playstation and Switch as well.

Not even close. We love to hate it!!

Which bugs do you mean specifically?
Tunneling and Camping suck, but they are part of the game. Same es Genrushing an using second chance perks. It's no abuse to use the tools the game gives you.
I did not encounter many hackers in my nearly 4k hours, no more than 10. I wouldn't say it's a rampant issue.
Bhvr never responds? So they did nothing when the Hawkins Offerings were removed accidentally? Or when there was an accidential rank reset?

Kk, guess I'm just bad than :-P
On a serious note, I still doubt that it's a "rampant issue". Sure it might be more right now then in the past, but it's still far away from breaking the game.

One of the hacking groups self-reports that approximately 10% of PC players (or more) are using their own or a competitor's cheat/hack trainer/software, and can keep hacking for up to a few months before being banned even with getting caught on Twitch and other easily clippable places for the hacks to be reported with.
I get roughly 1-2 hackers a day. Plenty of people get significantly more than that, with some content creators getting dedicated hack-stalkers.

And when the hacking group says so it's gotta be true? Also, how to they assess that number, i'd like to know. It's not like there's a poll or something.
Do they hack and get banned repeatedly? So when they got banned, the create a new account and continue? If so, what is the motivation for that, I wonder. For me, the thing keeping me playing is the grind. If I imagine to lose any progress every few month due to hacking, I can't think I would play it anymore. Maybe they hack the progress as well, but that would remove any reason (for me) to play as well. And just playing so you can bully others with your hacks sounds very ... boring to me. I guess you gotta be a hacker yourself to understand what's so great about it, right?

By and large, a lot of hacking groups and their representatives actually downplay their numbers, but fyi communities of hackers do keep a pretty good census because it tends to be something people buy for mulltiplayer games - they can just check their transaction history, unique buyers, and compare it to the game's own stats.
Yeah. 'Fresh' accounts get bought and sold for around 3 USD, and 'the grind' or 'progress' doesn't mean much to someone who can manually set any number in the game. Not even 'winning' really motivates most hackers - it tends to be more a "I'm a rebel, so I'm gonna break rules because I can with these tools", with some doing things for spreading awareness or randomness, and others just wanting to bully people. I agree, the latter is boring - but people play 'creative/builder modes' all the time in some multiplayer titles, and the hackers are often closer to a niche version of that.

Why sell it to a different team?
Just give it to me.

You know when I read the title I thought this thread was gonna be about how this is a finished product, was about to laugh so hard

Yea, pulsar as head as the console version

Also for the reasons you mentioned, I think Dead by Daylight is not finished, and could still use some work.

If the game should have died it was years ago when the game was in an even terrible state both technically and balance wise but the community stuck through it. The game survived purely on licensed killer and it's baffling but here we are. DBD would only die when the developers stop pumping out new chapters and it's safe to say we still got a whole year ahead of us.

I think you're timelines a bit messed up. The devs finished developing the game in 2016

Whew! I was scared you were going to mention VHS as a cause of death, Op!

If anything, them being prevalent at high mmr is better. Casual players basically never run into them anymore.

You actually BUY your hacks? I mean, using hacks is also pretty low, but actually BYING them?

I imagine the people who buy them would just think of the hack/game purchases like a subscription service - I haven't asked, though, so I don't know for sure what makes them do that.
