Guys, where did all the "good" Spirit players go?
I played a lot of matches since the update, and i've only seen Rin-chan like once when before there was an army of them all with the same school girl kawaii desu :3 costumes. For me it's basically like the update when Stridor was gutted and you couldn't hear the footstep where of a sudden they disappeared.
The killers i see VERY consistently these days like 70% of the time are Nurse, Blight, Huntress and Bubba to the point where it's become so boring playing survivor because i already know what to expect.
This is not a direct complaint to her nerf really, but every single time a killer gets nerfed in this game, you see always this group of people who sing the same old song of "now the killer takes skill, the bad players will stop playing and the good ones are gonna be fine", except that's pretty much never the reality because the supposedly "good players" seem to disappear too.
Did they all move to the planet Mars servers alongside the "not carried by insta saw A tier" Billys?

Spirit skill did not change they just make it easier for the survivor to know what to do and that enough to give the tool to a decent survivor to win most of the chase.
Less player were using spirit because of the stridor change and now even less player use her specially with boon you need to commit to every chase you do and shadow step and iron will dont help the people who like to play her

I'm still here. I've played her a lot since the nerf and having a lot of fun with her.

Spirit got hit hard but not by the nerfs to her kit but by the new survivor perk called Shadowstep. It basically renders her power completely useless.
7 -
Well, good killers would be at high MMR playing against high MMR survivors. High MMR survivor lobbies consist of 3+ Iron Wills over 90% of the time. Iron Will completely destroys Spirit. There's no point to playing her if you want results.

But yeah, I get the humor in what the OP is saying about how survivors that are advocating nerfs for killers always say "the good ones will be fine, it'll just weed out the bad ones!" They said that about how all the great Deathslinger players were gonna be just fine after he was hacked to pieces, but you never see the guy anymore, lol

What......what did you seriously expect to happen after calling for her kit to be nerfed for months on end while the devs passively buffed things to be used against her? And boon totems....bruh...
Stop complaining. You got exactly what you wanted.

I still see a lot of Spirit players and Nurse has a spike in player count now in my experience.

I haven't played Spirit for a long time, but when I did play her it was because I enjoyed chasing one survivor, then surprising a nearby survivor who wasn't expecting it. You can't do that anymore, so what's the point? The fun thing was her unpredictability in those situations (I got some good scares doing that), but unfortunately not knowing what she was doing at loops wasn't fun, and you can't change that aspect without changing the other.
Edit: I guess I should point out, I wasn't necessarily a good Spirit player. I just liked that she was one of the few killers who could get messages like, "Oh my god, you really terrified me at that one part!" after a match. That kind of thing made me stupid happy.

Well you made a killer worse so the casual or average spirit players are now even weaker...
People always forget killers arent just insane top 1%players. And whenever we look at balance we seem to pick a really good killer versing casual survivors and at that point of course the killer should win

Im still here. While I have tried other killers recently I still always have and always will main spirit.

They went to the new EZ-modo stompalot low effort Killer, in other words, they are playing Wraith.

Whenever there is a killer nerf, players of a killer will bail for a few reasons.
One is that they're just generally unhappy in terms of attitude with the nerfs for one reason or another, which is understandable. Whether it's a forced change in playstyle, a nerf to their favorite add-ons, or just expecting BHVR to completely screw it up as they often do. It's demoralizing, and in a game that already has a very unhappy playerbase any further demoralization makes people give up.
Another is that the reduction in a killer's power cap may make the gap between the killer and very good survivors insurmountable. Spirit was played heavily because she was among the few that stood a slim chance against high end survivor teams. Now she doesn't. Her power is reduced to being a mobility-only tool at base rather than a strong anti-loop with the option to be used for mobility. Tiers matter a lot in a game as wildly unbalanced as DBD.
Yet another is BP investment to maintain playability. Spirit was already somewhat add-on reliant, even for "good" Spirits, and all of her greens got gutted along with her basekit nerf. Now that there's a smaller pool of viable affordable add-ons for her, it takes exponentially more BP to play her beyond basekit because of how many junk items there are in bloodwebs. Almost nobody is finished with this game's horrific grind, so some people will jump ship to play a killer that they're able to save some BP with. As an aside, Bubba's probably the perfect killer for playing without add-ons currently and comes with BBQ for the grind.
A Spirit-specific reason that people have brought up already is that perks have shifted heavily in favor of survivors versus Spirit's power. Stridor's worthless now against Iron Will, Shadowstep hides scratches, Circle of Healing is devastating to any killer that doesn't instadown, and Lucky Break got buffed for more scratch hiding.
One of these alone is enough to make some people decide it's not worth it. Put it all together and you get a mass exodus.

Where did you get the impression that i was asking for nerfs?
If you ask me, they could have just removed the stand still bullshit at loops and that would have been good enough for me.

Because she needs a brain now and this type of players won't that?

Are you EU?

No I’m NA.

I actually seen her 3 times after the nerf. Which is 3x more than I saw her in a month.
Guess its only blight, huntress, nurse and nemesis for me
1 -
No, it’s because she’s hard countered by survivor perks like Iron Will & Boon: Shadowstep, which are really popular perks at the moment
lack of visual information was always the trade off for speed with her power, so she relied on sound and scratch marks left by survivors, but those two perks completely remove all of so you’re literally blind and deaf every chase,
how are you meant to track someone that you can’t see? Can’t hear? And isn’t giving off any scratch marks? They even removed Fathers Glasses so you can’t even track an injured survivor by blood anymore
old Spirit was really strong yes, and I’ll admit the ‘stand still mindgame’ was a bit BS. But how can you think that survivor perks hard countering a killers entire power is okay?
what’s next? Buffing DH so you can use it while healthy to counter insta- down killers?
buffing Windows Of Opportunity so that it shows Hag and Trapper traps?
perks countering powers is not okay

Hi, Spirit
mainhereI only used her when I hit red ranks. Her kit isn't fun anymore and while it still possess its uniqueness, as usual survivors now have too much of a advantage over her.
I'm not sure why your surprised. Survivors never see this coming. Cry nerf certain killers, those killers get nerfed, those killer iaren't used anymore, and than survivors wonder why there's no/enough variety of killers.

This was my favorite playstyle as well. She's boring now and pretty easily countered.

This post certainly amuses me.

My guess is that Spirit mains who left did so because she became uninteresting.
Unfortunately, it isn't the first time that something like that happens.
1 -
Pity. I guess we'll hardly meet in the trial.

One of the few people who actually got the point of my post.

Don't worry.
Wherever they are, they'll still be with us in Spirit.

So they all went back to been survivor mains

Yesterday I saw a SLEW of legions for some reason. (That's like a gaggle of spirits) I'm getting a bit sick of Bubba's tho'. They all play the same and then hit on the hook when you loop them for multiple gens. It's silly.

I roll a die online. Whatever the number is means that's the killer I'm playing. I dislike rolling 4 because 4 is Nurse but I don't break my own rules. Whenever Spirit's number comes up I play her and honestly she seems fine to me.

All I know, is that the "best" comp spirit got banned for cheating.

Lol, ballsy to assume that OP asked for Spirit nerfs.
Don't know if you're aware, but there are Survivor mains (like me) that have always asked for the Spirit witch hunt to subside and have gotten flamed for defending her.
Generalizing us as a whole is cringey at this point.
