Cheater Activity Dwindling….. Or Is It??

I’ve noticed the blatant cheaters have stopped getting into my lobbies or should I say have been showing up a lot less lately. But there are subtle ones out there who if you don’t have time played would never catch. Like the mini speed boosts at loops when you are at blood lust 3 just to test and they are still faster than you and are still beating you to pallets. The blatant cheaters are funny at times because atleast they are not hiding it. These sneaky ones man…. They need to be weeded out and fast,

This is why a match replay system is needed. If you could view the match via 3rd person and see what everyone is doing, you could see if the Survivors suddenly get faster when out of your FOV.

Cheaters tend to be at high MMR, either you're lucky or your MMR is what the game considers "low".

A replay system is good but shouldn't be needed. The server must be "seeing" that Survivors are moving faster than should be possible and flag them for review by a human automatically for example.

Or Killers flying and throwing hatchets - that should be trivial to detect. But for some reason nothing seems to be done.

Cheaters are still plentiful on my end.

Just yesterday I had a full legacy prestige Jake in my game. He acted normal for most of the game, but once I was snowballing with 6 hooks with 4 gens left, all of the generators suddenly completed and he started teleporting around spamming loud noise notifications to let me know where he was each time.

Then I had another game where one guy escaped the trial as soon as it started, and people were getting healed randomly (including myself, shortly after I got unhooked). I swear the killer was also moving faster at times, and slower at other times.

Then there's plenty of games where odd things happen, but I can never tell if people are flat out hacking or out.

I swapped to my Deathslinger for some matches today, which has what I'd assume is a fairly low MMR considering escape rates (earned or given) when I play him. Still got two speedhackers in one game - one (a Dwight) was fairly obvious, the other (an Ace) was better, but both were trying to be subtle about it: I think there may be a LOS detector available now which can toggle the hacks for them, but the Dwight's needed to be retooled. The guy went approximately 100m in 5 seconds, then there was some jittering when he took a wrong turn and came back into my view.

Unfortunately, DBD/EAC as implemented does not keep logs or even have any real-time tracking of in-game events, so they aren't even trying to detect stuff like this.

I played against one today, he blinded me and the effect lasted 30-40s. So i decided to not play(wanted to dc but penalty is on..) Funny thing is that he even asked why i stopped playing..

Its weird because altough I have been seen a lot of cheating related threads lately I never encountered them during the last year, I had encountered them but loooooooooong ago (I obviusly believe there is a cheating epidemic, not saying people were lying) and then yesterday I had 2 hacking Killers in the span of 1 hour. Maybe you are being lucky or Im unlucky or god knows what.

And still no official statement by BHVR about the current Cheater epidemic…

something like this would be great.
