Boon totems VS Hexes
Since every thread i see about boons are basically killers complaining about how boons can be relit endlessly while wasting the killers time.. Let’s get into it.
Survivors take time to find a dull totem, bless it and then heal.
If they’re injured they have to run back to the boon to heal.
All that is time off objectives.
Killers have to locate the boon, bright aura and loud sound, to snuff it in 1 second.
Sounds fair to me.
Hexes also have a much bigger impact in the game than boons, which nobody seems to get except “how dare you annoy me and make me change my play style” with boons.
Solution? Nerf boons to one time use but buff them to hex level benefits and increase snuff time significantly.
Is that okay with you? Or do you want to just nerf the perk for survivors and not really care about balance..

You vastly exaggerate how much of an effect most hexes have on the game, while vastly downplaying how easily boons are dealt with depending on the map.
Most hexes are High Risk/Average-Mediocre reward. The vast majority of hex perks in the game are not strong enough to warrant being hex perks in the first place.

Nerf them to one use per totem.
Buff them by removing all the notifications and aids killers get in identifying and finding them, to guarantee that they get used before they get snuffed.
Regardless of how strong the effects of boon perks are, there is nothing more irritating and oppressive than an effective survivor team who keep relighting their boon and forcing you to run relays between objective and boon. Meanwhile the rest of the team furthrer the objectives. This wastes an inordinate amount of time and you end up conceding and just letting them have the boon.
That doesn't happen with Hexes.

the conditions of them blessing and being off gens and killers having to find them can be debated, but i'd make it to where you can only use 2 boons per totem.
so if a surv has 3 boons equipped only 2 will activated on a totem.
also forgetting hexes can have strongish effects, but can be destroyed instantly and will be unusable. it's more risk than reward. especially since a lot of hexes aren't very strong or are on normal perk level.
if the boon were to get "hex levels" technically you could say they already are. otherwise CoH would very well be actual insta heals in some scenarios.
and the killer snuffing them out to take a significant amount of time i feel would still be too much.

I genuinely think Boons are fine as is. The issue is just Totem spawns, which are whacky on both sides to be notoriously insanely powerful or insanely awful.
Killers can't control which one they get. Survivors have a bit more control, but are still at the mercy of spawns.
Survivors have more of them to try to find Hexes, and there's always an argument that they have perks to find Totems.
Idk, I genuinely think that Boons are only getting the amount of hate that they are since it shows off how insane some totem spawns can be, and it's something that isn't really talked about. (Most talks about totems go the other way of them being too easy to find.)
If Totems were better implemented on a whole, I don't think we'd see as many complaints about them.

Generally think Boons should be 1 use per totem (On par with Inner Strength) once they're snuffed that's it, If you bless a Hex and a Killer snuffs it, it should revert back to the original Hex. As for indoor maps with multiple floors like RPCD, the effects of the totem should only work on the current floor level, not below the totem, and not above it. These are the changes i would make, especially with the unbreakable boon coming soon.

Also, Survivors can't defend their totems.
