For people who play Left 4 Dead
How accurate is Bill's perks in dbd to l4d? I know that l4d doesn't have perks, but im wondering if Bill's personal perks reflect his character in l4d since I don't know much about that game. Are dbds perks description on Bill made up or based on some lore back in l4d?
Ex: The perk unbreakable, can Bill actually pick himself up from the dying state in l4d? Does he have a borrowed time effect in l4d?
Once again, I've never played L4d and I'm curious for those OG's who do play it, can tell me If Bill's personal perks in dbd are accurate to his character in l4d.

The thing Bill does in DBD are not possible in L4D, because
A ) Unbreakable - In L4D you can never get up by yourself once downed.
B ) Borrowed Time - No, because L4D is measured by a max 100 HP system, not by shots like DBD.
C ) Left Behind - No, he does not gain any benefits once he's alone in L4D.
As for the lore I think it reflects Bill pretty well.
Unbreakable - Bill is the oldest veteran (literally) survivor in the original L4D group. He's badass, mentally strong and yeah, unbreakable. He's not someone that lightens up the mood but sorta like that adult who reminds you of reality and encourages you when things go south.
Borrowed Time and Left Behind - Not sure if this is supposed to be a spoiler, but since the game's been out there for like a decade... In one of the campaigns "The Sacrifice", the last chapter has a special gimmick. The four survivors must work together to start up generators to lower a bridge. After the bridge is lowered, however, the bridge needs to be raised again so the zombies can't reach them. This is where one survivor has to make a sacrifice, go back to the closest generator and restart the generator. Obviously that survivor dies, but the rest of the group is safe.
In the comics, it was confirmed that Bill is the one that sacrificed himself for the group. So canonically Bill was "left behind" to "borrow time" for the other three.

I second this.
I've only played lfd2, but I've read the lore.
you could say original left behind (I've only read about it) is similar to the adrenaline injections, but that's a bit of a stretch...

I think Bill's perks really do a good job of describing his character. It's amazing that such an interesting character is made with heart and also free for DBD players.

Perks don't exist in Left 4 dead. But all survivors are the exact same in Left 4 Dead so none of them have special abilities either. You should definitely play Left 4 dead though. Probably my favorite game ever.
