Getting bored...
Title. Killers getting nerfed. Useless perks/addons. Unwinable odds. Cheaters/hackers.
I get we want new players to "have fun" but as a high skilled player its boring not seeing 80% of the roster, hell even killers I dont see often get nerfed (pinhead, even with fang and solve addons he still struggles to get alot of hooks/1k)
Weak and pointless addons mean the killers run the same stuff, not their fault and I dont blame them but it makes it more stale.
DCs, bad rng can just change a fun and interesting game to broken mess. Oh I can run this antiloop killer for 5 gens because I got shack into gym into a safe pallet or the other way around.
Cheaters and hackers.... still an issue, even had a hacker insta healing me when I got injured and insta completed my gen.
Am I the only one who hates the stale gameplay the devs are making?

Completely agree. This game needs new things......Boons wasn't it (Although I don't have too much as problem with them).
yes it's always nice gaining 1 level in the bloodweb for free (Maybe gained a level).

I hate codes. Well to be fair I hate limited codes. They always drop at the same time seems like and can't type them fast enough on controller even if I wasn't at work. Seems completely unfair to console players but what else is new.

You aren't obliged to play dude, Dead By Daylight isn't a hobby - it's a game. All games eventually become boring to the player, some people burn out and leave quickly (my friends barely played a few matches and never touched DBD again), and some people like myself play for hundreds of hours before finally deciding to move on.
Finding the gameplay to be stale? It's time to move on my friend. There are thousands of better games out there, the gaming industry's massive. You'll find something nice.

Nah bloodpoints arent all that, if you have played the game while you get enough bp.
I'm not a fan of the 0 scratch mark effect especially being so big but that's just because I like to juggle and it stops me seeing scratches in the distance lol. I just wish so many perks and addons was buffed so they was all "strong"

Yeah but I usually dont get bored, iv played 5 years but recently been a massive decline. Dont get me wrong I always play multiple games but DBD has lost that spark to make me want to even load it up.
Atm iv just been playing back for blood on nightmare, waiting on alot of games to come out atm

Oh for sure I understand. I am still old school and do my best to chase someone I see with BBQ. Hell I got stomped the other day running Dark Devotion, Fire Up, BBQ, and Sloppy with hag. I suck with Hag so wouldn't surprise me to lose with meta perks but man was it fun. Just wish stuff like that wasn't handicapping myself. I did 4k the 2nd game with that build though.

Well I give you a thumbs up for using perks like that, cant say iv seen a non meta perk for the past few months. Even I dont run them, mainly because i dont wanna get bullied lol
I'm not a fan of playing hag either, not a fan of the playstyle. Last game I played as her I got 1 hook in 4 gens then slugged for the 4k. I won but didnt feel like I had fun? If that makes sense.
I'd love a game where youd see a range of perks on both sides, just buff them a bunch so every game is more different

Limited codes ARE a disadvantage to console players. If the game had M&K for console then I'm sure more would go that route.

Not really though because as we just established you can just use a M+K if you are that desperate for getting these codes. Takes maybe 10 seconds to plug a USB keyboard into a console.

that's a fair point, although given consoles have full web browsers I reckon they'll probably have support for copy/paste as well, but I'm not 100% sure tbf

Bruh so let's review. I mention limited codes are unfair to consoles.....You come with plug in a keyboard. Ok so now I have to go buy a keyboard? I play a game on console why would/why should I have to buy a keyboard? All my laptops have built in keyboards so what I need one for? Limited codes only which shouldn't exist anyhow? limited codes for the most part are passed out in the morning/early afternoon so not only is it hard for consoles but impossible most times for 1st shift workers. let me guess your comeback to that is call home and have my wife do the code? Shouldn't HAVE TO. No code should be limited as it cost nothing for BHVR.

Bruh its 2021 I just assume every house has like 3 spare keyboards kicking around at this point.
I just looked on Amazon and I saw a keyboard as cheap as £6.49.
BTW, might I try and convince you of the sweet benefits of keyboard ownership. As the new owner of a keyboard, you will be amazed as to how fast you can type aggressive and/or patronizing messages to people after they camp/tunnel/teabag you in DBD!
Also it comes in useful if you use apps like Netflix/Youtube, as you can type videos/songs/films/shows in quickly.
Not to mention if you use the console for messaging, at all, you will save a lot of time. If you don't, well now you can.
On the subject of first shift workers, well sure yeah that's the problem with irregular shift work isn't it, you get inconvenienced in many ways. But let's try to keep this discussion to one first world problem, as we already framed this as being a console disadvantage issue.
I disagree with not having codes be limited. These are usually for skin items so it doesn't really impact the game. Having things rare makes them more exciting when they do show up.

That's something that bores me too. Always the same perks in both. Some rounds feel like you're always playing against the same player. So I hope that the older perks will be buffed.

Actually how about a suggestion? Release limited codes perhaps periodically throughout the day? Seems more fair to me.
BTW not desperate for codes just want things more fair. You know without having to spend money to do it. Consoles players got enough to deal with. Just my opinion though. Sorry it bent you so much.

I have a...love/hate relationship with DbD.
When I'm not playing it, I want to play it.
After playing it for an hour or two, sometimes I want to set fire to the entire internet.
I agree completely about killers. The devs' balance decisions feels off to me at times, frequently nerfs won't be surgical and will instead cripple an already struggling killer (Wraith, Cenobite, Deathslinger) or nerf an entire playstyle (Undying nerf significantly reduced the viability of hexplay).
DCs - oh my. If there was one thing I'd change about Dbd rules wise, it would be to reduce the amount of DCs.
Hacking - yeah. I'm honestly more scared of the subtle ones. It's a very tough issue for a smaller developer to solve though, as even massive Esports frequently struggle to stop hacking. Hacks have become incredibly sophisticated.
That said - I really do enjoy the game, and the better I get at it the more I enjoy it. MMR, when it works properly, has definitely improved my match quality.

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you about it all. Honestly now I'm just taking a break, going to play halo beta.
I love DBD but it dont feel rewarding or interesting nowadays. Such a shame tbh all the liscene content is a dream come true yet I cant get the enjoyment from it especially at the level I play as it gets more bland.

Unfortunately where I live keyboards are about 150T$-200T$ I don't have that kind of money to throw around (I think that's about £50-£65 which is a lot here)

The game will continue to be boring until "CORE GAMEPLAY" mechanics are changed/adjusted to make it seem more like a more in-depth experience. Until then DBD will be on the decline. Slowly but surely.

Nope. I’m getting bored as well. My sessions aren't as nearly as long as they used to be. When I think about it though- SBMM and knowing what constitutes as a win killed this game for me. I had more fun as a Red Rank 4, martyring for my team to escape with 26,000 BP and Pipping. I miss those days.

Yeah the win stuff sucks, times iv done so well as survivor and be left to die on first hook and I'm told I'm bad lol.
Biggest killer for me is that 2K 2E. Since we're really forcing that I cant play as chill or get as many hooks, I dont care about kills but the fact I can be forced into camping and tunneling to try get some control has put me off the most.
I enjoyed chases and HOOKS! Nowadays I cant go for multiple chases and still get alot of hooks
