Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

How do you counter trickster?

I have a hard time countering trickster or playing against him and I don't wanna switch my perks around for him as I wouldn't know if I was playing against him.

I try to hide behind walls or objects so it's harder to hit me but sometimes the hitbox for him is so wack that even if I was behind something he still lands some knives on me.

and when I try to get away and actually get behind something his knife decay lasts a bit too long when I'm trying to just get it to go down a bit so I can last a bit longer in the chase.

so how the heck do you play against him when he's chasing you?

Long walls and play around his slow movement speed then hold W gaming, if you're experienced enough maybe even let him mind game himself and you just run into a different tile. Depends on the map really if it's a lot of loop that's open to the chest level you're screwed.

You can’t really loop Trickster. Best thing to do against him is hold W and make sure you’re putting objects in between him and you.

In the same way as a Huntress...

Unless the trickster hits every single knife..then it's just a matter of luck if the chases between the 4 survs will give enough time to finish the gens.

Be aware of where you're looping, and try to stop Trickster from getting line of sight on you. Prioritise looping tiles with high walls and lots of corners like jungle gyms, 2-lanes and buildings, never go to a loop that is low enough for him to throw over, and try to get him to waste as many knives as possible. Remember that he only has 44 knives, and these run out very quickly.

If you're walking and not running, your Laceration also decays faster. Do this when you're safe mid-loop. Try to make distance from him when you can - don't try to greed a loop when you've got multiple knives in you.

I like this. And the gen rush will definitely be needed seeing how No Way Out is blowing up in popularity.

literary any loop where trickster can't throw over works vs him, hes 110%

and those kind of loops are majority anyway

Any tall wall completely shuts him down. Some stages have a lot more of them than others, making him an extremely unreliable killer.

    Jungle gyms.

The problem is, most people don't like facing him cause his counterplay revolves around certain maps and no one can dodge all the 40+ knives being spammed at them (unless bad trickster). Thats why a lot of people who hate facing Trickster, love facing Huntress. Her hatchet throws are skill based and timing and prediction is required to land hits. However at the same time, there is a lot more counterplay to Huntress compared to Trickster and it is also a lot more satisfying/rewarding to outplay a Huntress hatchet.

LT loops are really strong against trickster. Play with the windows to juke.
