Europe was mainly the third world back than, and their main trade point, Constantinople, was taken by the Ottomans, until they found the Americas, Europe kinda sucked. Germanic Tribes just sacked Rome a lot unil they collapsed, China didnt really "Conquer" that much, mostly trading silk, a prized posession, because the silk worm was a closely guarded asset. England didnt really do much for quite a while, and was excluded from most trade, mostly just going to war with France a lot.
The mongols, however, were able to bring Afro-Eurasia far more close knit, take almost all of Asia, including China, and Russia, while also remaining Nomadic, there tactics were amazing, they were among the first instances of Bio-warfare, and they took land with a ruthless effiecency.
The mongols also loved traders, giving them more money than they would ask for, because the mongols were just in it for the money, just like:
Though the mongols had played an important role in trade because of their horses and love of merchants, what I said above was true, the Mongols only wanted the money, and if traders favor the Mongols, than they trade with the mongols, and the Mongols get rich.
